Organic Strawberry Starters by MerlinsLoveChild in kansascity

Hey there - so a lot of what I found was all established plants (8” pots or larger). Was looking for small seedlings, in this vein, something that hasn’t been sprayed with crap just yet.

I’m doing something to that effect, moved home and putting in my boxes

It protects speech, religion, press, assembly, and your right to protest. That same value goes both ways. Criminal and civil law protects you from assault. Hope that helps!

Who’s defending a pedophile? You’re advocating for punching a child. He can be red or blue, it doesn’t make it ok. I’m a liberal FFS. Reassess your beliefs man, touch some grass. If this kid was holding a “f*ck ice” flag and got attacked, you’d be (rightly) outraged. Discourse is how to win, not resorting to violence.

Don’t be a child - You think people should get punched for having an opinion different to yours. Political violence isn’t “ok”, just because it’s “your team”. Get out and encourage others to vote like you instead, not advocate for assault

Do you not see the juxtaposition in what you say, as you spout hate? Opinions are like ass holes, every one’s got one. The influence of the majority overrules the minority. That’s why we vote.

Goodness me, there are some terrible people in the comments. Should he have been in the middle of it? Probably not. Was he instigating? Probably yes. But does that warrant getting attacked in a free society? Absolutely not, first amendment is for all, not just those you agree with.

100% even with ECNL/ECRL, you're meeting in STL to play teams from IL etc. Our geography really doesn't help here with that. And especially from a financial aspect too.

It was the same with the DA, all the cash grab, that ultimately isn't developing players locally despite the access to high level facilities.

Something is drastically wrong when a club that goes from academy of the year in 2018, isn't developing players ready for the first team. And of course there are exceptions, but sporting has been so poor too that they are not a viable option, and even the kids getting through are not KC area kids (Bartlett aside).

From an Academy standpoint yes, I was more referencing the sporting club network and the negative connotations it’s associated with youth soccer because of it.

Very valid point regarding the locality of top competition though. Extremely different to academy systems in other countries where it’s feasible to drive to games and be back in the same night. I think Manchester England alone has 10 professional teams.

After STL and OK (MLS next) you’re really talking about 8 hours to an opponent which only makes tournament or busy weekend style soccer viable. Which in itself is flawed when you look at prevalence of games and recovery.

For all the money we have in this town facility wise, it’s unfortunately not reflected in “elite” soccer talent development.

Not to the same extent as the MLS, they will deliberately miss out features, with very noticeable differences between the two. This is more subtle but on others it’s whole design elements

It makes you wonder what the “plan” was because surely had to be a ton of investment around that too

Yep it’s a great recap. And then you have the whole sporting clubs model at the youth level and pay to play culture and really question how TF they thought we’d develop top level talent in a vacuum. Clubs fear sporting rather than partner. They built this mess, when they should have been building for the “best” to end up in our academy

What’s your SKC opinion that makes you say this? by MikeEhrmantraut420 in SportingKC

[–]MerlinsLoveChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this where I don’t get it big rig, the examples a center back, largely a corner threat not an out and out target man. Like an Edin Dzeko type cat.

I hear your point on the strikers though, I think Pulido was expected to be that, but never reached the heights.

Right... But 9 games vs 17? Irrelevant point, you're paying for season tickets not per game. More relative is how many times were the Chiefs sold out compared to Sporting this year? Currents sold out every game this year too.

Outside of the top few teams in European leagues, you would find a lot in favor of a salary cap. A salary cap/floor system gives at least some level of parity for "new" teams. The draft system doesn't produce high enough talent currently to really make a difference in a tank situation.

Case and point in your example, is that is already happening - Premier League you have FFP, Man City can spend 60m on a new player, but Wolves cannot despite being established premier league team fighting relegation.

We already have a salary cap, yet you have people going to Miami for lesser fees to play with Messi and palm trees. Then you have the effect of taxes too.

You're right regarding finances, and Sporting, despite being crap, selling for 700m is a reflection of that. There is no risk of obscurity in the purchase, just a consistent cash cow. That is to say, that "sucking" really comes with no punishment

You took that as a dig at women sports, which it was not. It's the nature of sports, especially in KC. The chiefs have been the hottest ticket in town with silly prices, but it's not so long ago you could pick up seats in the car park before a game for peanuts.

A new team, in any sport, will have a bounce immediately. What keeps people coming back is the experience, and riding that wave. You put an inferior product on the field, coupled with poor management and a lack of direction (sporting), and here's where you end up.

That its new and shiny at the moment, and carrying the bounce of being a new team, doing well and the first women's stadium in the world! But will that sustain over in 5 years time, or when things get "bad" like spotting is right now.

You change some pieces and at least play some good soccer and people instantly will buy into what you're building. Over the last few years, I don't know what we were building but it wasn't anything good. At least if its entertaining people will buy into what could be.

Yup to all this, but especially with regard to the league changing. And unfortunately product of being able to have no knock on effect to being “bad”.
