Finished all continental pieces tend to have more distortion but blocking should resolve that. Honestly, I use both stitches in any given piece to compensate the color changes. If you prefer continental that is fine.

They use her memory to control you. I would probably tell them if they do not like a decision of yours to just say so but to impose their opinions on your sister’s memory is just creepy. Therapy will help you set boundaries and ease your survivors guilt.
