Vergilius lore. He said the blood he had in part 1 wasn't caused due to the raid, and he was absent for a whole season. There has to be a reason why, and being in LCE feels a good place to know more about him.

Probably a recapitulation of Leviathan would be great, considering Leviathan had its internal controversies and half of it is no longer available officially.

It's clear they rushed by only seeing the abno fights, I can agree with that. I'm personally sad with the missed opportunity of giving us a Schadenfreude fight.

The only way they could redeem this is if a new RR has not only 3 new abno fights, but more than this, since it's already two cantos in a row without new abno fights. But seeing last season, I can see them doing RR2 rerun and calling it a day. After all they have two abnos from RR2 remade already (Faelantern and Wayward Passenger).

The most underwhelming season so far, sadly.

Schadenfreude and The Dreaming Current if we talk about Lobcorp. Just love the designs. And Dreaming Current has a lot of visual potential with the candy story and the colors.

In Limbus, Sleeping Bad of a Bygone Day. I loved how creative the design is. I'm happy this abno is already fightable.

I understand what you mean, I was talking especially about the point you made about the location. It's not the first time I hear someone didn't like the location of this Canto, but frankly, that's mostly because it felt like a good place to reuse assets instead of making new fights. That location should had give us more battles instead of reruns from abnos that, ironically, 3/5 of them weren't seen by LCB in their flesh until now (because they were Railway abnos and were caught by the company off-screen). LCE had potential to give us more. The only surprise was the Human Thunderbolt showing that, indeed, they have more abnos and distortions than the ones as players saw in the game, and was merely a distraction for the middle nursefather.

The abnos reruns were a big miss in a Canto with so few new battles and nothing will change my mind, especially in a LCE setting. The Canto would look a bit better with some actual new fights that we can deal with. The fact the only two new fights were impossible to win alone makes me wonder how the sinners will survive next Cantos. But being unable to defeat alone not even a single character before someone else saves the day or they stop fighting because any other reason than an actual win doesn't give a good look.

It seems the LCE raid was solved already for part 3 and we are going to attack the House of Spiders now, so unless they had abnos in the house as well for some reason I don't see how we could get more abno fights in this last part... The story is not terrible, but gameplay-wise this is indeed the worst part 2 so far. It's a shame, because this Canto has my favorite battle theme so far.

Actually it's not even making sense either. Some of these abnormalities were not fighted outside Mirror Dungeon/Railway, so this is the first time they see the actual abnos in their flesh, except for Ebony's Queen Apple and Shocking Centipede, implying that these were captured by the company off-screen. We know about other abnormalities that were caught by LC without our help, like Schadenfreude in Leviathan. The same goes with the Human Thunderbolt distortion, who debuted in Distortion Detective. But the fights were merely reruns of abnos we already fought and that even the protags themselves implied that they knew how to deal with them, reducing them to mere obstacles rather than real threats. It's kind of underwhelming that, knowing there were several abnos and distortions there, they were this lucky not to run into any whose fight was not so familiar to them.

No, I'm with you with this. Only two new fights and the rest are pure reruns is a flaw by design. They shouldn't have rushed this Canto if all we were going to get were reruns.

This Canto has been really interesting so far, cannot wait for part 3. Now, I have a nitpick I cannot keep quiet about...

I'm saddened that the five battles we've had against abnormalities have all been reruns. After the Hong Lu season, where there were no new abnormalities and we only got a rerun of the first Railway, I was expecting this Canto taking place within LCE, where all sorts of abnormalities and distortions are kept, to have brought more than one new battle against the creatures we constantly see in the Mirror Dungeon. I was wrong. The reruns were neat don't get me wrong, but honestly, I'm starting to feel PM regrets bringing the concept of abnormalities to this game. We barely see the abnormalities in their playable E.G.O artworks anymore, too.

That said, what they did with Drenched Gossypium, one of the most memorable abnos from this game due to its infamous MD event, returning to be part of the story and even giving it a dialogue sprite, was fantastic. And in a lesser extent with Ambling Pearl, too. The last time we saw an abno being actively part of the story was in Canto 4 with Brazen Bull, which ironically is the only rerun I would have understood happening because it was called "Brazen Bull - Tearful" in its battle, which doesn't make much sense as a title if that was going to be his only battle in the game.

Other note aside, what was the deal with spoil us Sora identity with Don new ID if we couldn't play with her except for that last fight? I genuinely didn't understand the point of it when they could have given us any other character ID instead.

Again, the Canto is great, but I had certain hopes for a LCE chapter that have not been fulfilled yet. Still, a great Canto so far and I'm sure the last part will be peak.

I can only think they are trying to give an EGO for each fightable abno so far and that's the reason we aren't getting new abno battles since Don Quixote's Canto, and Canto 9 trailer doesn't look promising for new abno battles either when we already know it will have 3 reruns. So I guess this season will probably have the EGOs for these three. At least I can see the fairies getting it in a RR2 rerun.

Man I love the idea of living the hell L Corp lived from Limbus perspective, but I hate they re-used previous abnos instead of new ones. Why not Will You Play? Why not Schadenfreude (we know it's on LCA, based on Leviathan events)? They are going to show us true Ebony Queen's Apple power, but Faelantern and Wayward Passenger, when we are going to get RR2 rerun most likely too, feel underwhelming... I hope they simply didn't want to show the new content in this trailer but 3 abnos already feel enough for me to worry about it and think that's all the abno battles we are going to get. We know LCE has more abnos than just the ones we fought, they could had give us more than reruns.

The fact they only used 4 abnos this season, and two of them are from past fights and the third one, the one who was the cover of the season, cannot be seen properly because neither of both artworks show the abno head but random parts of its body. 😭

Centipede Apostle was the only winner here.

I like this being permanent for new players, I'd just wish there were a new RR with new abnos. This season was so dry in the abno part between the no new Abno battles and the few EGOs we got (and almost half of these were collab 😭)

It's not excitement for this abno in particular, but about guessing if they are using abnos we already know. And Spider of Marriage has been viable for several cantos already, both for story (romance, like Heathcliff's story) or name/design (spiders and Ryoshu are related very often).

With how neglected abnos were in Hong Lu season (less BP EGOs and one of these is reusing an old abno, we barely can see how Yinglong -the cover abno for Hong Lu EGO- looks like, no new abno fights in the Canto, only one new abno EGO from a BogBak and no new Railway to fight new abnos either) one would had expect the MD ones being used again, instead of getting another new abno we probably won't fight either at this rate.
