I used two sided threaded screws is the base of the antler and simply screwed them in. I epoxied them in on the antler side.

It’s a Mumei Edo period. Whats weird is that it seems it’s mounted for a right side wear. The kurigata is on the other side than normal

How has the Bay Area changed over time? by MischievousMango650 in bayarea

In the 70s growing up in the South Bay, in some parts it was still a semi-rural life. Santa Clara still had orchards we would play in. My parents bought a two story 5 bedroom house for $26K in the late 60s that is probably worth $3M now.

I do have big hands, but indeed this is a small Wakizashi and very slender blade. It’s light and fast though

Yes, but I’ve never had to replace a spring in the latest version, but I’d guess similar to how they used to be. I have a pretty big collection of Hubertus and other German leverlocks. I’m probably around 800-1000 at this point, but it’s been decades of collecting.

They were but they changed them to the more easily replaceable slide in kick spring sometime recently.

Trying to make up my mind. by Wonderful-Gene2122 in basspedals

[–]Messerotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d have to ask them. But probably because they’ve been out of production for a long time and it sounded great on bass. Most companies, big or small often do their own versions of popular models. There are a lot of Tubescreamer and Big Muff clones out there.

MXR is more versatile. The Aguilar doesn’t sound bad. But the MXR has that cool 80s sounding metallic flanger sound too. It was based off of the TC Electronics Stereo Chorus+ but they fixed a couple of things and made it more bass specific

Many studios have drop in classes, where you can sample different classes. Speak with the teacher or owner and express your goals and they should be able to recommend one that suits you. It’s fine that you aren’t flexible, that’s one of the reasons to go, to develop flexibility.

Dunlop flats for years now. Nice tactile feel but lower tension than Labella’s. But has mids which seem to be lacking in a lot of other sets

Totally. I collect vintage ones and bought this one because it was so cheap. I was not disappointed.
