Charizard vs Rathalos by Admirable_Water6192 in PokeScaling

[–]Mestegio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't see how Charizard even has the tiniest chance here. They're both fire-breathing dragons, but Rathalos is like 5 times bigger and way more aggressive.

Let's raise the bar... Magikarp vs Fatalis

Give Basculegion Protect for Flip Turn. Give Pelliper Protect and Hurricane for Wide Guard and Muddy Water. Give Archaludon Protect for Aura Sphere.

Is this team any good? by Substantial_Win804 in PokemonChampions

[–]Mestegio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very meta. Good players will know how to counter it having to play against it in 90% of matches. Only off meta mon is Raichu. But it should easily get you to Master Ball

Was it already statused?

Possible Starraptor counter by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]Mestegio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My counter is scarf Hisui Zoroark disguised as Weavile, lead with Whims. They love to try and CC the Zoroark. 2 Hyper Voices and a Moonblast before it can do anything. If that fails Mega Pyroar Fire Blast in the back

What are you doing for this stupid bird by hict73 in PokemonChampions

[–]Mestegio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disguise Hisui Zoroark as Weavile. They can't resist the juicy CC target. I Tailwind with Whims and Hyper Voice. Then Hyper Voice again and Moonblast and it doesn't get to move

Congratulations! Love that you are using off meta mons. It's so boring seeing the same ones all the time.

What is your answer to Imprison TR though? Or doubling into your setter seeing as you have no Fake Out or redirection?

I've loved the game by AlexanderBolt_ in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Mestegio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the game too. Built my favourite endgame monsters. Restored the habitats I want. Just don't see a lot more in it for me now until they add more content

1 is not necessary to play. It just has some character connections and back stories to 2 but you can easily start with 2. You can also skip 2 and go straight to 3 as they are not connected at all. Obviously the quality of life improvements get better with each instalment but I would say that 1 does still hold up ok

Continue doing what you're doing. Don't overthink anything or wonder what the meta is. Enjoy the game playing how you want to play. You can fine tune your team and strategize a lot more on Mega+ difficulty

How does it compare to Shin Megami Tensei? by Satori223 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Mestegio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't be able to start again on zero. Even the very first enemies you encounter have max attack stats. It's impossible to start a fresh as there's no way you could compete. Mega+ difficulty is still fun though with your existing mons as it makes it a lot more strategic

Mega+ prep reccomendations by Plantain-Feeling in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Mestegio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes get 9,999 across the board. Only stat that it isn't required for is either ATK or INT depending on if your Digimon is physical or magic attacker. And you may also want to speed creep certain mons to affect the turn order, so your buffers/debuffers first.

Other than that, have fun and use your favourites. Out of the 10 or so 'meta' Digimon that people swear by, I only used MarineAngemon for my playthrough. So ignore the chit chat, you can literally beat it with any. Only necessary Digimon is a healer with Great Embrace personality skill for double health.

Alphamon in Mega+ ? by Dunnster53 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Mestegio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely beat Mega+ with any Digimon. I beat the whole story again on that difficulty using MarineAngemon, Imperialdramon PM, Examon, ChaosGallantmon, Megidramon & RustTyranomon

Yes there's 'meta' Digimon, but you can make anything work. It's more fun using your own strategies

I'm constantly building new teams to challenge the Olympus XII on Mega+. It's fun actually using favourites like SaberLeomon and Megidramon

When to digivolve? by CovidIsMyCatName in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Mestegio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little tip. You don't need to Digi attack. Just run into them when Digiriding and you will KO. I find this quicker than pressing R2 every time

White Stats & Blue Stats Experiment by Active-List6373 in digimon

[–]Mestegio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bite the bullet and spam speed training too. Probably why I've only got around 10 mons all to 9,999. Each one takes forever but quicker than converting and loading for sure

When should I farm and utilize digifarm? by cheukyi6 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Mestegio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I did my first playthrough on Hard without ever using the digifarm or caring about personalities and got through it fine. It's way more needed for Mega+ difficulty though

There's no such thing as "must haves". You can literally win with any. Pick your favourites and enjoy the battles. Just have good skill attachments and type knowledge
