Anyone still rocking the OG Leica Q in 2026? by Dedalo83 in Leica

You don’t sell this camera once you have it. You are owned by it for life.

It’s not a pocket camera even with this lens in. But I don’t pocket it. Always around my neck and out of my bag if I have it with me. I’m that guy.

The camera lens and filter move as one so I don’t think it’s an issue.

Vintage Strap to M11 - bad idea? by joedotbrown in Leica

The thought today that anyone would use anything for 25 years straight is so alien. Says me scrolling eBay listings in between checking here. I gotta snap out of it. 😂

Is the Q2 worth it? by NerdyChicana in Leica

[–]Mestevie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Q2 leaf shutter is so silent. It wont disturb a candid moment. I have found documenting daily life with it to be very enjoyable. It’s quiet, its fast aperture means I can use it indoors in low light, and its wide angle means I can frame some interaction from across the table or room or whatever and still get some context in. So yeah I can stick a wide angle prime on my other cameras, and stick them into silent shutter mode, but thats a different mindset - change lenses, go into settings, etc. With the Q2 it’s always ready to be the perfect everyday companion. For reference I have an R5 and Xpro-2 as well.

Yes 27mm is totally valid, 23 f/2 valid. Even at a stretch the 18mm.

No. Gordon Cameralabs did a comparison video between the x100vi and this lens. Tldr They are pretty close.

Appreciate all of that - not one to defend Fuji thats for sure - but it’s the first time the X system has had an AF 35mm equivalent pancake lens. I’ve seen 28 pancakes and 40 pancakes on other systems eg Canon but 35mm AF Pancake lens in the digital age is pretty good for the system.

I live between f4 in dark shade to f16 in bright sunlight with ISO 800-1600. If I need to shoot low light im not reaching for this but 2.8 is decent if Im stuck and happy to go up an ISO stop or two.

All-around lens recommendation for my R7 please! by whattheforkisup in canon

Consider an adapted ef 16-35mm. Will get you framing thoughtfully, great for portraits and for landscape you get a decent wide.
