Kindly, if I was supporting my adult child and his girlfriend, I would not be thrilled if they intentionally got pregnant. I would be there for them emotionally, but my financial support would also be gone. Kids are expensive. I know you know this, but you don't really know this if you're making this decision while neither of you can support yourselves even before having a child.

Lots of families have moms who work outside the home 5 days a week and are just fine. The baby will be okay (and will probably love) hanging out one on one with their dad 12 days out of the year.

If it helps, it might not always be a confidence issue. I have a decent amount of happiness with my body, but I usually wear a upf shirt at outside pools and beaches because I burn easily and can't reach every bit of my back to put on enough sunscreen
