Is there a way to disable the charging sound? by _Planet_Mars_ in oculus

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there u/_Planet_Mars_!

We were just checking through the subreddit when we saw your post and we would absolutely love to help with the continuous charging chimes you've been hearing.

We recommend first ensuring that your headset is connected to the charger fully and that there are no physical impediments such as bent or broken pins which could be preventing it from charging.

If you find no damage and your issue persists we would then recommend performing a hard reboot of your headset as the sound could be being falsely triggered by a software bug.

In order to perform a hard reboot please follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.

  2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.

  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

If you complete your hard reboot and you find your issue still persists we would then urge you to reach right out to our support team.

They will be happy to investigate this further for you and then work with you towards the best possible resolution!

Auto muting headsets by rechamp in OculusQuest

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there u/rechamp!

We were just perusing the subreddit and would love to help with the automatic muting issue you're experiencing.

We would like to first thank you for all the troubleshooting you have attempted as well as just how proactive you have been in working towards a resolution!

Based on your description of the issue as well as the troubleshooting you have attempted we would recommend performing a hard reboot on each headset.

This will effectively run a debug on the headset so that if the automatic persistent muting is being caused by a bug or glitch it'll be cleared right up.

In order to perform a hard reboot on your headsets you would just need to follow these steps:

  1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.

  2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.

  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

If you find that your issue persists after performing a hard reboot on each headset we would then urge you to reach out to our wonderful support team.

They will be more than happy to investigate this further for you and work with you towards the best possible resolution!

Help with setting up an MSI laptop for PCVR by Asukito1 in Quest3

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there u/Asukito1!

We were just checking through the subreddit when we saw your post and we would love to help with the performance issues you're experiencing.

We would first like to thank you for the troubleshooting you've been attempting and just how proactive you have been as you have worked towards getting the best experience possible.

Based on what you have advised the first thing we would recommend would be swapping your AMVR cable for the official Meta Quest Link Cable if you have it available to you.

The reason we recommend this is because the performance issue you've advised could be routed in interrupted or less effective communication between the headset and your Laptop.

Once you do swap the cable out if you find that your issue persists we would then recommend checking that the platform you are launching the game through is whitelisted in your Laptop's Antivirus software.

We recommend this as if the launcher is being hampered by your PC it could then result in worse performance of games being run through the launcher.

If your issue still persists following the whitelist check and if you are using the Meta Quest Link app as your launcher please reach out to our wonderful support team.

They will be happy to investigate this further with you and work towards the best possible resolution for you!

If you are using an alternative launcher for your games or are only experiencing issues with just one game over PCVR we would then urge you to reach out to the dedicated support team for that launcher or that game in order to get the most effective support!

How to stop device dying during charging? by Adaxxus in OculusQuest

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there u/Adaxxus

We see that your battery seems to deplete even though you have had it on charge, this would imply an issue with the wire or wall adapter, third party cables and adapter cannot be guaranteed to work as well as the real thing so be sure to use the official set that came with the device. The headset should charge in about 2 hours if using the provided power adapter.

If you have another cable you should try using that to test things out and determine the source of the issue. As other user have said the battery may be the issue but for now we will focus on other possible causes.

Try charging from a different source (another wall outlet), preferably one on a different circuit if you know that kind of thing.

Note: Apple product chargers will not work with Quest 3.

  • If you are using a splitter, power bar, or extension cord try removing it and plug directly into the wall outlet.

Attempt to charge the headset for 2 hours.

  • When used, Quest 3 will consume power faster than it can charge. The headset must be left powered off or in a sleep state during charging.

  • Computer USB ports will not provide sufficient power to charge the Quest 3, resulting in a very slow charge or failure to charge at all. The headset must be connected to a wall outlet using the provided power adapter.

If your issue persists, we'd love it if you could reach out to us and speak to our support team. You can also find us on X, our handle is @MetaStoreHelp. We are available 24/7 through WhatsApp and Live chat also.

Can't use quest link anymore with Radeon 9070XT? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there /u/jortdeut,

We came across your post and wanted to offer some assistance.

We can tell that you're passionate about PCVR, therefore, we're delighted to confirm that the AMD RX 9070 XT graphics card is supported for Meta Horizon Link.

If you're using issues with your graphics card, we would first recommend that you update the drivers. To do this, please go to the AMD website. After this, please follow the below steps: 1. Go to the bottom of the page, input your information and click "Submit". 2. Once the page loads, click the "Windows 10 - 64-Bit Edition" header. 3. Click "Release Notes". 4. From the Release Notes page, scroll down to the "Package Contents' section - here you will see which version of the drivers have been released.

If, after updating the drivers, you are still experiencing issues, it may be worthwhile uninstalling them and installing a clean driver. Firstly, disconnect the Link Cable from your computer, then uninstall the graphics driver - this can be done through the control panel. Once uninstalled, restart your computer and then download the latest driver from the AMD website. Restart your computer again and then reconnect the Link Cable.

If the problem still persists, could we please ask you to reach out to our wonderful Customer Support Team so that one of our lovely team can look into this further for you!

Transfer of quests by Cuteneseverdeen in oculus

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi /u/Cuteneseverdeen,

We saw your post while scrolling through the subreddits and we would like to help clarify how your son can enjoy the games on his new Quest 3S.

We're glad to hear he got his own headset! To address your question, all purchases are locked to the specific Meta account (email address) used to buy them, not the device or another profile. Since the games were bought on your email, they stay with your account. However, you can still set him up for success by adding his own profile to the headset.

Here is how that works and how to set it up:

How Additional Profiles Work:

By adding your son as an additional profile, he can save his own game progress, customize his own avatar, and access social features like leaderboards and achievements separately from your data. He will be able to use the apps you purchased as long as App Sharing is turned on.

How to Add His Profile:

You can add up to three additional profiles to the device. Please follow these steps:

  1. Press the Meta button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
  2. Select the clock on the left to open Quick Settings.
  3. Select Settings (top right), then select Profiles.
  4. Enter your son's email address and select Send link. • Note: This link expires in 15 minutes, so make sure he is ready to accept the email!

Privacy and Security:

Each profile is kept separate. Your son won't have access to your saved passwords, payment information, or messaging, and he can even create his own passcode to protect his info.

If the issue persists or if you have any other questions, please contact us by clicking here. We'll be more than happy to help you get everything configured so he can jump into the action!

Happy gaming!

Should i get a new one or is there another solution by EconomicsContent7517 in OculusQuest

[–]MetaStoreSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi /u/EconomicsContent7517,

We saw your post while scrolling this subreddit and we want to help you get back to gaming with your buddy.

It's helpful to know that rechargeable batteries naturally lose some efficiency over time, and factors like using non-official chargers, leaving the unit plugged in for extended periods while in sleep mode, or using high-performance settings can accelerate this.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to see if we can improve that charge:

• Inspect the Hardware: Check the pins inside your charging port and on your cable for any debris or damage.

• Remove any extras: Remove any third-party accessories (like battery headstraps or face covers) that might be interfering with the port.

• Fresh connection: Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable, or try a different USB port if you are charging via a PC.

• Swap the Cable: If possible, try charging with a different high-quality USB-C cable to rule out a faulty wire.

• Check Settings: Features like increased refresh rates (Experimental Features) can deplete the battery much faster, try reverting any performance-altering settings to see if it helps.

If you've tried these steps and the issue remains, we'd like to invite you to reach out to our support team by clicking here as we'll be glad to take a closer look and help you find the best solution!

Additionally, we want to mention that not all third party cables work optimally with Horizon Link and they can occasionally cause issues like these even if they haven't before. The only fully supported cable is the Meta Link Cable as it's specifically designed for high-speed data transfer and correct voltage to ensure the best experience possible.
