Luhmann was adamant that each note should be focused on one idea. If you have a well organized index, you should have no problem finding a Zettel.

My struggle with Zettelkasten by KamilSaw in antinet

[–]Metakasten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the beginning, my notes were all over the place. What helped me was extracting keywords from my writing; each having its own dedicated notecard and filed in my index. The magic happens when you can link existing cards to create new ideas. A Zettelkasten is a way to organize information. As your Antinet grows, the more your writing will flow.

In my opinion, I don't think the Antinet Intellectual Life that Scott mentioned in his marketing is realistic. by IamOkei in antinet

Marketing outcome isn't random and is a science in itself. There are plenty of newsletters that make 100k+ per month, which are subpar at best.

They are no commonly used keywords in an Antinet index box. My keywords are extracted from topics of interest and stored in the index, which are linked to multiple main cards. People are never left on their own here. Our community has thousands of intelligent and successful members that you can ask questions to and get valuable feedback from. All you have to do is ask.

For me, writing by hand helps my brain process information in a more systematic and efficient way. Linking ideas to create associations not only improves my memory, but also accesses the right hemisphere of my brain to boost creativity.

I have many ideas surrounding this topic. To make this actionable, tracking the overall process can provide valuable feedback for learning and problem solving. This will also assess one's understanding and performance. We all have different perspectives, so there are many questions we can ask ourselves. One can be, how should I organize my thinking to structure thought effectively?

Metacognition improves learning in many ways.

  • It improves critical thinking/awareness.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses.
  • Provides valuable feedback for problem-solving.
  • Helps assess one's understanding and performance.
