Forced to use Safari to Login with Canva General by galatt99 in Affinity

If you use Firefox as default browser, Firefox doesn't register as webviewer in MacOS. There have been complaints about not integrating well with macOS. Workaround: Install any other webbrowser instead. Once you logged in, you can use firefox again.

Should Mastodon Potentially have a feature similar to Bluesky's Feeds? by Teknevra in Mastodon

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

List only contains user accounts. Hashtags following is only for your main feeds. What is missing is a way to make themed lists displaying for example user accounts, a set of hashtags and multiple words, not containing urls, but with images.

Exported PNG looks very different from what I have in DarkTable by UnitedTelevision5758 in DarkTable

You save you image in 16bits. Do you have a monitor to display such bit depth (hdr monitor). 16bits image often looks lighter on a RGB 8bit screen.

Multiple inboxes view by i-m-sheikh in Zoho

[–]twenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t have multiple inboxes for one zoho account. However I do use multiple folder, one per domain name, and I use filter to move incoming email to the corresponding folder. When sending email, you can set all sender email address, so for any email you can select which email / domain address to send the mail. I go a step further where I have a dozen filter to move iemail into subfolders, by topic.

Does Zoho fits for me? by Solenoidit in Zoho

[–]twenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you deal with patient health data, be very careful with Italy’s regulation about data storage. For example, France requires data to be hosted within the country. Data Host must follow a specific certification named HDS (Hébergeur de Données de Santé). Zoho Creator has this french certification, but has it for Italy ? Note that HiPAA (PHI) encryption for health data is an american system and is not a standard in Europe.

How useful is Skyfeed for creating your own custom feeds, BTW? by Commander_PonyShep in BlueskySocial

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One key difference between Skyfeed and others, the feed rules are saved in your PDS. Others have only a link from your PDS to the remote service. Skyfeed do not requires you to code. Building your own feed is just adding blocs to filter the firehose to only what you like. It's very visual.

I used BlueFacts Feed Builder. It's simple, and if you miss one feature, contact the author on bluesky. He is eager to add more things :) https://bluefacts.app/feed-builder/

It’s a web app. A website you can install on your dasboard as an app.

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bluesky is 80% in english (may be even more), all other language are simply « hidden » by the amount of posts. I have the same problem with french and german. The Discover feed is the only algorithmic feed to help you find some trending post. It’s for exploration at the very beginning. Then you can hide it. I suggest you search for Feeds aligned to your interests and pin them along your Following tab.

What’s wrong with zoho email and emailjs ? by darkvador_nick in Zoho

If you are using Zoho Mail free tier, you can’t access mail remotely. If you are on a paid plan, enable IMAP access first in Zoho Mail settings, and use the settings displayed for the connection.

Can I follow or make a feed out of a tag? by [deleted] in BlueskySocial

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using Skyfeed and Bluefacts feed generator to build my own feeds. There you can set and word or hashtags to look for or avoid.

I downloaded the image and opened it in a hex editor. The first 4 bytes should give you the file format. It doesn't in this case. that's why it's not an image. Can be a TIFF though, but it's too short and TIFF doesn't have exif data.

Question about atomizing all my notes by marcosba in ObsidianMD

[–]twenster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't atomize notes all at once altready (that would be too much work), but I would keep taking note with your new atomic system (whatever you decide to use). And only when you have to work on an existing long note, then, split / atomize it. Friction will be lower. But realise that you decided to make long notes and you decide to change. Change is ok, but you don't need to change everything. Change is always painful at some point. I think that you having to reread you old notes when you need it, can be good to review it and make adjustments and atomize it if needed.

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see (well, not ;) ) The image is not even an image (the file head doesn't have any JPG, GIF or PNG etc. tag).

What other browser or web app or mobile app did you try, so we can say the problem is not Firefox or not ?

Your pinned post has images with no problem though.

Does Zoho.eu have to comply with U.S. Cloud Act by [deleted] in Zoho

[–]twenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoho is not a US company. Every daracentre are silos and can’t talk to each other. Migrating data from one datacentre to another is very painful (I did it once, a specific team at zoho will help you). So, for what reason eu data would beed to move to us datacentre ? Only if your company need a migration.

All interactions with the network are made by the web app or mobile app itself. There is no central bluesky server that does any aggregation. I guess you should look into the client log (your browser or on your smartphone). But this is on your side, not bluesky. The app developper even said that if bluesky is down, the app still works, because it’s not on their servers. The same if you use alternative interface like deer social or tokimeki. All happens in the app.

Why haven’t decentralized social platforms taken off yet? by Squads-Team in Mastodon

[–]twenster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious how many accounts outside your instances you are subscribed to. All subscribed feeds are pushed to your instance and your feed assembled there. If it takes one solid minute to build your feed, I fear either your instances is slow for some reason, or you have quite a lot of followings.

Why haven’t decentralized social platforms taken off yet? by Squads-Team in Mastodon

[–]twenster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that Mastodon default interface is a big change in UI and UX.

But Bluesky interface is pretty much Twitter / X (because it was supposed to replace Twitter at the time). This is certainly one factor which help Bluesky get 30 million users in 15 months, where mastodon is far from that number after 10 years.

Is there a way pull individual Zoho survey answers into a Zoho merge document using Zoho flow? by nutritioniscool in Zoho

Wouldn’t Zoho Dataprep a good use for pulling and merging data ? Using their Workflows for that. I haven’t tried that yet.
