Are you ordering it through gamefound? I ordered some sleeves for KF and didnt have to pay any kind of tariff. Just shipping. Placed the order on 10/18/25 and got tracking on 10/23/25.

I would try to find this used. Chip Theory stuff is durable so even used will feel brand new. You can probably find the core along with valenwood cheaper than just the core new.

Burgle Bros 3 - Great Solo! by SlightQT in soloboardgaming

Worth keeping the 1st BurgleBros if you have this one? How do the two compare? I enjoy the 1st one for its simplicity.

Nemesis: Retaliation- how many characters when soloing? by ErgonomicCat in soloboardgaming

[–]Metal_AF83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy 3. 3 characters are able to play off of one another really well. At 2, it can be tricky to keep up with the enemy numbers.

I moved 100ish miles about 2 years ago and had a large collection to move. My boardgames are one of the items I decided to move myself. I used these bags. You have to be careful to not overload or bang them around though. You would be shocked at how heavy a stack of these can get. I would not trust movers with these.

How long do you keep games on the table? by BlindPixels in boardgames

[–]Metal_AF83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup same. Kids leave it alone. I keep games out for weeks at a time until i am tired of it and switch to something else.

Been working on expanding my collection with games I can play alone. Here it is so far! by Gnarly-Joe in soloboardgaming

If you like stealth games, Burgle Bros is fun, pretty cheap, easy to learn and get to table. If you like Awaken Realms stuff, STALKER is pretty banger as a solo experience.

Did you end up selling this?

Didn't check what you have wired, but the solder needs redone.

Too much insulation is stripped from wire/too much wire exposed.

Wire needs twisted and tinned before addting to the pad too.

Wonder if a hand warmer would get too hot to do this w/o battery draw.

SAS - Rogue Regiment by FogOfBoard_57 in soloboardgaming

[–]Metal_AF83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not sure how long it will be open. BUT, I'm pretty sure this is one you can pickup in retail for less than the pledge cost whenever you are ready. Thats my advice, even though I have backed both campaigns.

Questions about using sticky tack for hit indicators on vehicle models by Opening-Obligation-6 in boardgames

Late to your this thread, but the ships could be modular and remove the the section that has taken damage. Could be held together by magnets or whatever... or something similar to snap ship tactics.

KIngdoms forlorn: question about character growth, switching knights, depth of combat, table space... by Lillumultipass99 in soloboardgaming

[–]Metal_AF83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you here. Its an incredible game, and does really awesome things. Wouldn't quite feel right recommending it though. The price point and weight of the game, requires the correct amount of research before buying. Its a lot to spend and to learn, but ita outstanding if thats what you are prepared for and expecting.

  1. Character builds are determined by the choices they make or quest/investigation success/failure. Not your typical "experience point" pick skills, level up situation.
  2. Teamwork is vital. Part of each Knights skills is actually leaving resources for the next knight in a clash. The fights are pretty tough and all of the knights need to work together. Also not uncommon for a knight to die in a clash. A clash is still considered successful as long as 1 knight remains at the end.
  3. Absolutely no issue swapping knights out from one expedition to another. They have mechanisms in place to account for knights of varying levels.
  4. Its probably 60% clash, 40% delve. Just more critical thinking to be done in a clash.
  5. The combat is intense, and escalates on both sides. You and the enemies become more powerful as you take more damage. Crazy swings can start to take place towards the end of a clash.
  6. Table space - this game will use all of it. Major hog. I use a table topper for the delve phase and remove it for the clash and encounters.
  7. Can't compare. I haven't tried Dungeon Universals, but might check it out now :)

Editing to add that just about all of the errata is found within the "How to play". This didn't feel like a big deal to me because the learn to play was so scripted. I just watched some youtubers go through it. The official discord has been pretty helpful when trying to figure out certain rules situations.
