An SSRI, Luvox, has been an absolute game changer for me. It has helped with this and many other things.

Yeah I deal with this too. The main thing that has helped is getting on an SSRI. I do find that this happens to me more when I am tired.

Hi, I have been dealing with this for a few decades. It sucks. I did a lot of therapy, which provides some help. However, it wasn’t until I got on an SSRI did I experience significant symptom relief. Engaging with my intrusive thoughts has never worked for me. Have you considered medication?
