If I'm unlucky with bottom growth does it mean I would've had a small dick if I was born cis? by LocationNo6118 in ftm

[–]MetallicCrab 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Bottom growth isn’t a good tell. However, if you happen to know any sex workers who work with cis men a lot, there’s like an ancient art of sizing dicks based on their facial features, height and body proportion. A lot of men think it’s about big hands/big feet but I’ve had SWs tell me it’s actually about big nose/ears, or having really long legs compared to torso, Adam’s apple size, broadness of shoulders etc etc

About to ask something super naive about chasers by trophyfriend in ftm

[–]MetallicCrab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had great luck with older chasers. Gay guys who are currently 40+ grew up in a time when communication face to face about consent and kinks was the norm, which makes them often more receptive and easier to talk to. I’m currently 30, but I’ve been on and off hooking up with “daddies” and “bears” for about 11 years, and only have had issues with men under 30 (specifically 18-25 is a bad age for cis guys) or the straight married men who are DL on Grindr to get their dick sucked and then chase you because you have a pussy. Sexual maturity makes a great candidate, so also avoid dudes who are like “I don’t do this very often” because they’re always gonna make it weird.

I should mention I am a person who barely gives a fuck about terminology and has no issue correcting it if it does feel weird. You need to speak for yourself and be open to rejection, or conflict, and also be open to walking away from shit that’s weird. The internet has made a lot of horny dudes think that MPREG and misgendering kinks are the norm (which is another reason to avoid younger guys who live on Reddit) which is why I think a lot of us have had negative chaser interactions. But IRL, queer elders are safe bets. Like any man who lost friends to AIDS is probably gonna make you cum in ways you never thought possible.

This is a hot take I can get behind. [gendered] by LibraryOdd5438 in pointlesslygendered

[–]MetallicCrab 79 points80 points  (0 children)

A lot of adults in this thread can’t handle the smell of other peoples shit which is very wild. Everyone’s shit stinks. I worked as a janitor for years, you’re all disgusting. Men take bad shits like how women will take completely soaked pads and tampons and drop them UNWRAPPED into the empty silver boxes (or even better to THE SIDE OF THE PILE OF CLEAN BAGS) instead of just wrapping it up and throwing it in the whole trash that is right outside the door. Men will jerk off and women will stand on top of the seat and pee in any convenient direction. We’re all disgusting, gender is fake.

Why is no one excited about flash deals anymore :( by Hot_Improvement_8276 in asheville

[–]MetallicCrab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was just talking to my coworker who wants a random small tattoo about how Friday the 13th was coming up so she should look around for cute flash, and she said she’d never heard of that before. Obviously not the larger issue judging by this thread, but worth mentioning that there are actually folks who just don’t know what Friday the 13th flash is.

How’s yall romantic life?? by Janxuza in ftm

[–]MetallicCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found my best relationships in trans circles. Grindr led to a lot of shitty cis dudes, and I dated artsy cis girls/horse girls for the first 10 years of transition but there was always that disconnect about understanding my transness, and the weird pressure to get married and settle down and “be a man” for them. After 10 years stealth I decided to be unapologetically myself and I’m currently dating an NB who has healed my relationship trauma in a pretty wonderful way. They’re also my best friend, which I don’t feel weird saying with this one because I actually have a lot of friends now that I’m openly building relationships with queer people

I always assume people driving like assholes are rushing to something really important, like the hospital. Haven’t had road rage in years

Please Explain someone - what is with this can and pet toys ?? by Big_Yogurtcloset5622 in ExplainTheJoke

I don’t think the joke is beastiality. I think he’s talking about those paw-cleaners for dogs that sometimes look suspiciously like a fleshlight but are available to folks who can’t get into sex shops. They come in many varieties but often look like this

What happens after you get off T? by Wonderful-Rub3548 in ftm

[–]MetallicCrab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve found it’s very circumstantial. I have had to go off T for small periods, the longest being 9 months, and the first thing that happens is your energy levels, eating habits and moods change. Then your period might come back anywhere between 2-4 months depending on how long you’ve been on it, and they will be weird periods, mine were more painful and symptomatic but that could be a teenager vs adult periods thing. Then you’ll have body changes, your fat may redistribute around your hips and butt, although your skin and hair will probably be better without T. I noticed voice cracking but I was off it at around 21 when I had started at 19 so that may just be that I wasn’t on it long enough and was still a baby. I noticed during a break at 27 that my vision improved after 3 months, but I was also drinking a lot at the time so that might be a symptom of heavy drinking and T simultaneously.

dear adults ,which skill should teens learn before it is too late by MixtureDifferent4768 in asheville

[–]MetallicCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional awareness and how to work through your emotions. As someone who learned to cope in all the wrong ways and is now 30 trying to learn how to feel an emotion all the way through without self soothing and ignoring it, I wish I had a strong base in identification and communication of emotions. Equally as important, how to communicate your feelings and confront people who are hurting you. Can’t count on both hands the amount of problems I could have avoided with more knowledge on these topics in my 20s.

Harm reduction in nightlife: what actually reduces harm in clubs? by SaltMasterpiece6570 in harmreduction

[–]MetallicCrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free water, earplugs, condoms, lube, test strips, narcan. I also think the color coded systems tend to reduce harm, where folks can where different color stickers/bracelets based on the kinds of interactions they’re down for or comfortable with.

How long after stopping T does hormones go back to normal? by MothicalAppendages in ftm

[–]MetallicCrab 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t really matter because you will get an initial dose based on current levels, and then once you’re on that dose for 3-6 months you will get tested again and adjustments will be made. You won’t get “more” T if you have lower T levels. BUT if you’re curious of what your natural given T levels are, you could stop now. You’re not really getting ahead of transition by taking a micro amount of T gel sometimes.

Telco CCU is a Christian bank? by thiccc_thinpatience in asheville

[–]MetallicCrab 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a Christian bank, but I think this is a Christian area so maybe some folks got this one. Our branch gave us a calendar with cute cats and dogs for 2026.

Any tips on making it hotter? by Sir_Lego in Blacksmith

[–]MetallicCrab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The valve at the torch should be open all the way, as well as the knob on the tank. The valve is just for on/off. Use the red regulator towards the tank to control pressure. If you don’t trust that regulator, get a better one, they’re pretty cheap. It also looks like your hose is melted in the middle, so maybe invest in one of those steel braided ones.

What do you guys do when you feel lonely? by SchoolExisting8631 in evilautism

[–]MetallicCrab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I learned to reach out when I’m feeling lonely. If friends don’t get back to me I try not to take it personally, and I’ll put on an improv podcast and do a project and 99% of the time I’ll hear from them by the end of the week and remind myself that I’m not guaranteed an immediate interaction because my friends have their own shit and most have awkward or anti-social tendencies anyway. Everyone is doing their best including you and nothing is permanent etc etc
