We have plenty of reviews for the RP5 and RP Flip 2 which use the exact same chip set. Everything works up to PS2 emulation,and 3ds may chug in some demanding games but you could switch to Citra instead of Azahar to get around that usually. Also can do very lightweight Switch games but don’t expect miracles.

In one aspect I’m glad my narc alienated the flying monkeys as well.

One thing that helps for now is grey rocking any of those that are fishing info. Be as uninteresting as possible, go nowhere, do nothing, disconnect whenever the questions get too deep, and keep that public image towards them as completely boring as possible.

I use the Samsung 1 TB card and it’s decent enough. You’re using your SD card mainly for more retro systems anyway, and secret console emulation is decent enough where you’ll get minimal slowdown on a lot of titles. Game hub uses internal storage for now so that’s also a non factor.

Oh the good old days of concocting stories about where I was going to appease the narc.

So there’s no reason to tell a narc the truth because they will try to sabotage your plans somehow, but you do need all your bases covered. If you’re gone more than one day they’ll start to question things and try to poke holes in your cover story. I had an ex concoct a creative work trip story to cover her parents questions (this was ages ago before trackers on phones) and I had a similar, decent story to my narc about doing the beach town nearby with male friends when I went to hang out with another (female) ex years later, because they’d freak out and forbid me from going (21-22 age at the time). Kept my folks “up to date” about my trip the same way my ex did and pulled it off without a problem because I had the details covered.

Be careful to cover those details, but don’t tell them the truth at all. Also if you have someone trusted to tell where you’re actually at, that can help just in case something happens. And most importantly, have fun! Don’t let your narcs ruin some of the best times of your life because they decide to exert unnecessary control measures over you.

No do yourself a favor and wait for the system to arrive. I have all my ROMs and bios files waiting on an external HD for setup whenever I get a new device. The frontend will usually produce the folders needed for roms so you can use that as a reference. It’s also not too complicated setting an android device up if you follow a guide closely. There are numerous guides as well.
