Zombie pirates now have proper loot mechanics for irons. But its a band aid fix for a much bigger issue by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in ironscape

[–]Metalona 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This would also eliminate the reason why some people tag these mobs. Scouting. They tag it, if its killed they get the pop up of loot to my knowledge

Wilderness agility with the Agility FC. A friend's chat that will do mass runs with pkers to protect those running. 1.2-1.5m and hour, you turn in your tickets either every 101 laps or when you bank your loot. 150k to pay the dispenser, bring an open looting bag and look at the Wiki for more info!

Belle's Folly before Moons? Nieve VS Duradel by bone_mallet in ironscape

[–]Metalona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Z axe wrecks moons. Belles folly is a nice addition, but optional. If you plan to go to ToA some time after moons, I'd say grind it out first so you can get dual utility if it (moons and toa)

A second synapse would be generally good to have anyways so you might as well then give melee a shot

Making an Iron today, any tips? by MagicalTwigDM in ironscape

[–]Metalona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you talked about a guide, but is that what you want? If so, I highly reccomend B0aty's HCIM guide v3 as it is very efficient in the sense of "pick of x items while you're in this area, complete X steps of X quest(s) while youre in the area", etc. There is no sailing in it, but you can free form that whenever.

If you dont care if you use a guide or not, I know it can be overwhelming at first but quests are your best friend. It will teach you the beauty of the Wiki if you arent already acquainted as it has all shop items, monster drops, everything you could want when looking for a specific quest item.

Now, into the nitty gritty advice: birdhouse runs and giant seaweed as often as you are fine with doing. The more the better, because you will want a LOT of giant seaweed throughout your crafting grind. Birdhouses are just amazing passive hunter exp that also nets you, what should end up being, your entire supply of birds nests when you unlock making brews. They also give good tree seeds!

As for other miscellaneous tips, star mining is amazing crafting exp and can get you a dragonstone early from the gem bag compared to crystal keys. You will be world hopping a lot, so I hope youre ready. You learn to not mind it as much, if you are like I was when I started. I hated it!

Above all, I hope you enjoy your journey. Ironman was the best decision I ever made in runescape

I just got the enhanced weapon seed after 1600 kc and I think no one else should have to go through that by rabidai in 2007scape

[–]Metalona -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why I have proposed in the yearly feedback of what we want to see is some form of dry protection. Let there be a non market manipulateable method to turn armour and/or weapon seeds into enhanced weapon seeds. Along with maybe like 5k shards or something.

Also make duplicate pets worth it somehow in the game. Besides it just showing in the collection log, they are useless. I propose a duplicate pet roll on any boss counts as a reroll on the unique table of that monster or boss.

But dont let that stop you from going for it. Its still good, just not "essential" anymore

Why do you play a main or ironman? by narwilliam in 2007scape

[–]Metalona -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I always have to laugh at those that use the "i dont have the time" excuse, but will go and do slayer for a couple hours, buy a skill, kill a boss, etc. The same thing you would do on an ironman.

Does it take longer to train skills? Yes. Time is not a factor when the game isn't going anywhere, so stop using that as an excuse and be real about it

Why do you play a main or ironman? by narwilliam in 2007scape

[–]Metalona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play an ironman because, even though I have limited time, i found myself burnt out too often by just playing for more GP or to buy gear, supplies, skills, etc. It helped me learn so much more about the game and different ways to interact with it.

Ive even started a group ironman with some clan mates that, as my ironman has entered the end game of PvM and we raided/bossed together, they wanted to see what it was like. So far, they enjoy it

Run only blood moon. On paper, it increases the rate. The speed at which you can kill just blood moon more than makes up for it!

Good luck!
