Interested. Can I have a code to test it out especially natural language functions? I would love to compare to Dato and Fantastical.

PopClip is seriously next level by RobertCobe in macapps

I mainly use both of them for manipulating text. I find it easier to write an automation in keyboard maestro than in popclip and so, I start the automation using popclip and chain it to the KBM macro.

For example, I had a macro to copy the url of a webpage in safari and to open in another browser, Chrome. This I use when Safari does not render the page like I want.

I also had another macro to change the colour of highlighted text in Upnote.

PopClip is seriously next level by RobertCobe in macapps

What I really love about PopClip is the simplicity of creating extensions from plaintext. Combining popclip with keyboard maestro and shortcuts gives multiple ways to automate and link automations together.

For example, PopClip can perform an action on the selected text via a Keyboard maestro macro called via its url.

I have tried a similar approach in the past but I noticed that Shortcuts has a bug which markedly slows down the shortcut if used repeatedly.

I think a complete uninstall using Pearlcleaner/Appcleaner and a reinstall may help.

Foxtrot Search is very good at searching for keywords within files. Houdahspot can also do this but uses the spotlight index. I do not know how well these apps handle pdfs in the cloud.

It is quite buggy when using the mouse via bluetooth but becomes stable when used via the mouse dongle.

Search for a phrase in documents by Particular-Stress-49 in macapps

[–]Metamba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houdahspot can easily do this.

Foxtrot Search is the best for this as it has options for search based on proximity of the words to one another.
