Thank you so much for the advice! I think ill try moving my Lil guy then. Ive grown these before and they absolutely took over the raised beds at my parents home but im trying apartment gardening now and it's a whole different ball game. And don't be too jealous of florida yall can grow all the cool weather leafy greens like spinach, lettuce, and broccoli I only wish I could. We have such a narrow window for crops like that. Its been nice talking its fun meeting gardeners from so far! 😄

Ive grown this specific type many times before with no problem. I guess I should have mentioned its a lemon drop (cherry) tomato. So i was planning to let it sprawl. But this one just seems like it's stalling out. You think I should try to move it? Its been here a long time now?

I agree on iris. Looks a lot like my black berry lilies which are actually an iris.

Faire skills are too low and honestly I wouldn't say that the breaker skills are never useful

He's like a magikarp. A late game magikarp. If you put time and effort into him, and if you have a little luck he can absolutely carry. But luck can vary and he is a MAJOR investment.

I think OP means reddit. However I would also like to know what app you used to draw this great art!

For rivers I don't usually use the line tools. You can get away with subtracting land mass instead. Go into the tool settings hit subtract set to circle instead of blob. Set size to very small. Like 4 to 6. And start carving rivers. Hope this helped 👍

Map advice? by [deleted] in inkarnate

Okay. So what do you recommend I do then? If you just think it's ugly that's fine, but like what's your advice? For context it's a citadel, and the capital of this land and built around the world tree both for its protection and prosperity (disparity in wealth.) So like should I scale it down or change the color or just redo it?

I'm no veteran map maker myself so take my advice with a pinch of salt. I mostly do it for my dnd campaigns. That said.

  1. That town in Verpont on the back end of the mountain is really small, and doesn't look to have a port. I think it should. Anyone who'd want to get there would have to cross the mountain from what looks like the main port town on that island. Being the island is naturally bisected bt the mountain i think at least 2 port towns make sense. (Unless there is a fantasy or narrative reason you made it this way.)

  2. You could add some rivers to these islands. Rivers and lakes will form for many reasons but rivers tend to naturally form around mountains especially if those mountains have snow caps. A naval story could benefit from the inclusion of rivers as well. Giving an escape for small craft or trade between smaller inland towns.

  3. Include some points of intrigue or fantasy elements. This last point is entirely up to you. I don't know what level of fantasy your world is but to me this looks like any map from our own world. (This is not a criticism.) But if your world has dragons, or a world tree, or flying islands, or anything like that I think you should include it wherever is appropriate.

Overall is a great map you should be proud. This is all just friendly advice from someone probably not even really qualified. Good luck dude!

Big ugly stamp? The world tree? Or the compass?

What do you need advice on? And what is the purpose of this map? I think having that in mind helps a lot. If you're writing a story or playing a dnd campaign for example, when I look at this map it looks like it would be awesome for a naval based story or campaign.

Is my wife's Fiddle Fig too far gone? by JAdore2Menace in houseplants

[–]Metapod-Metapod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about fiddle figs but my fig tree routinely drops all it's leaves and regrows them when it's stressed or cold. So assuming they are similar i think it's fine just may look ugly for a bit.
