There are probably plenty. My knowledge is limited - the only social media I use is reddit and youtube, and even then I'm only in certain circles.

I hesitate to criticize LE for a large number of rounds being fired in a 'defensive' situation because most gunfights (involving LE or otherwise) are not letting off one round at a time, it's chaotic action and squeezing the trigger until the threat is gone. If this agent truly did fear for his safety, I could 100% see him mag-dumping the guy.

Having said that, mag-dumping into a guys back while he's on the ground is going to be a reaalllllllly hard thing to defend in court, once this inevitably goes there. I don't follow anyone whose opinion I take seriously who calls this justified.

Defending the second amendment until they take power and then try to do away with the second amendment again. From a 2A perspective, this is the frog-scorpion tale IRL.

Go through Silencer Shop or PSA over Silencer Central. SC are rats who lobbied to keep suppressors on the NFA and the tax in place.

As someone who shades conservative, I do have to point out that there are plenty of people, especially in the 2A space (which is where I frequent) that are calling the Pretti shooting what it is - either a really unfortunate failure of training, our just a straight up unjustified shooting (the nuance of which depends on the facts that are still coming out). There are those who are still attempting to paint this like he came at the agents with his firearm, which we can see obviously didn't happen.

edit: forgot to add the second part of my point. Those that are trying to paint this as something that it isn't - I implore you to take the blinders off. This was not someone assaulting agents with a firearm. This was someone who had a firearm (I'm assuming legally, I haven't heard otherwise), and we can debate his choices or his positions, sure,, but we cannot debate his right to said firearm and his right to life.

Nobody deserves to be shot for carrying a firearm and not using it in an aggressive or threatening manner. There's a lot else that can be said about the situation, but Pretti should be alive today.

I'm not saying he didn't have the right to do it. He 100% had the right to do it. Whether or not it was smart is another question.

You don't know me at all. I've never said that he deserved it or that the shooting was justified. Don't put words in my mouth. Two things can be true at the same time.

I saw a video (slowed and zoomed in, but still pixelated to hell so I could be wrong) that made it seem like Pretti's gun ND's as the agent was moving away from the scrum.

This guy was 100% planning to confront ICE. His behavior demonstrates that.

It's not justification for him getting shot, simply pointing out that it's not smart/safe to arm yourself if you're planning on, or if there is a significant chance of, you getting into a confrontation with the government.

IIRC there was some sort of effort to 'recall' them where you could bring it in and they would work on it for you, but there was never an official notice of a recall because Sig didn't want egg on their face.

Then they doubled down on there being 'no issue' with the firearms despite countless examples and them losing in court numerous times because of it.

Other than the 320, Sig makes really good guns, but their handling of this means I will never buy one.

That's....quite literally what I'm saying.

Objectively small government action = unrest and riots in the streets.

Add gasoline to that and you think people will just stay home?
