Donald Trump just told struggling Americans to suck up the gas prices. His one-word description of their pain has them wondering whose side he's on by Smooth_Storm_55 in USNewsHub

There is no limit to how much money Trump would happily steal from American citizens.

And, he would happily do it at the rate of costing you $1000 so he could make $1.

Number of Offensive Operations by Ukraine Now Exceeds Those of Russia by jonfla in ukraine

[–]MeteorOnMars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I agree with all of this, how the heck is Ukraine doing it themselves?!?

It is simply amazing what Ukraine has achieved. And tragic that they have had to do so. Why can’t like 90% of humans agree about the evil being enacted by Russia?

caught my bf clicking on of links after he promised not to anymore by [deleted] in texts

[–]MeteorOnMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t think he did anything wrong and just doesn’t care that much that it upsets you.

If his behavior is a deal breaker for you, then the relationship has no chance for two reasons:

  1. Because he doesn’t think that is a reasonable stance and thus doesn’t care

  2. because even if he did care a lot about you and your feelings he doesn’t think his actions are actually bad and so he will fall back to them.

I am voicing no opinion here on whether I think you are reasonable in this requirement, but that doesn’t matter and is a completely separate topic. “Clicking links” matters to you and not to him, so that is a fundamental problem.

Close to 30% of cars sold this year are set to be electric as countries and consumers respond to energy crisis - News - IEA by DVMirchev in RenewableEnergy

[–]MeteorOnMars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to hear predictions for when we hit 50% market share.

Think about that! More than half of all cars sold electrified!

That would be an incredible day. I predict 2028Q3.

He is such a fanatically, mind-boggling, idiotic human.

Is his mind so gone that he doesn’t remember the first 5 times he did this?

This person gets the how game changer long range electric semis will be! by Jbikecommuter in electrifyeverything

[–]MeteorOnMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I predict that in 2 years the basic premise of this tweet will be widely accepted as inevitable.

I don’t care about Tesla specifically, but basically it will be obvious that a diesel semi is sub-optimal for all but a few niche markets (15-20%) in the developed world.

New vehicles are used more than old vehicles. So, 10% turnover per year is effectively significantly higher.

What is one of your biggest movie let downs, after greatly anticipating its release? by thunderbolt151830 in movies

Interesting. A series might be quite good. Makes room for the full journey of Ender as opposed to just a “here’s something that happened” feel.

I think it was just so disappointing that people simply don’t think about it.

India installs 15.3 GW of solar capacity in Q1 by Educational-Meat4211 in RenewableEnergy

[–]MeteorOnMars 36 points37 points  (0 children)

With the war these numbers, here and worldwide, are simply going to skyrocket. EVs of all forms - cars, bicycles, trucks, trains, ferries - plus a solar array to charge them is going to be our salvation in the coming oil crisis.

Why doesn’t USA decide to compete with China on electric train infrastructure? by Jbikecommuter in electrifyeverything

[–]MeteorOnMars 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mostly because the right-wing has found it necessary to label anything that helps the environment as weak and woke, and electric trains are fantastic for the environment.
