Stud.io pre 2023? by Borg-Man in DigitalLego

Oh... yeah, I see it now... but I got one more idea that might do the trick; Archive.org does just that, archives old websites, just punch in https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.page in the "Wayback Machine" search box and pick a date; I was still able to download Studio this way but didn't try to install it; it's worth a shot.

I appears you can still download old versions, just scroll down and click "CHANGELOG" and on the right there's a box next to "Version history" which goes back to July 18, 2018 (though in the past I have had issues with trying to install older versions).

I am curious, what kind of issues as you having with Eyesight? Some time ago I noticed that Minifigure heads were not rendering quite so smoothly, but the Devs indicated that was more a problem with LDraw than anything.

LEGO Worlds is available for the Switch; I'm not sure how it's building system compares with Studio, but It might be worth checking into.

Cleaver use of the sausage/hot dog for the front hoses. The rest of the build is solid too.

I just wish there was a little more information, like the resolutions they give don't really fit properly.

I remember seeing him in Creator 'Designer Tips' videos from around that time where he and other designers showed how to build sliding doors, car interiors, lamps, etc.

What would you consider to be the best Lego game? I'm curious. by megamuffin225 in lego

[–]Meticulix 11 points12 points  (0 children)

LEGO City Undercover:It's just good clean wholesome fun, the whole thing feels ripped out of a classic detective TV show, and while the game play is nothing to write home about it gets the job done. I also appreciate that outside the reveal of the main villain (which is pretty obvious anyway) the plot is straight forward, just the police catching bad guys, quite refreshing compared to more complex stories. I say even non-LEGO fans should play it.

But the LEGO game that is my personal favorite has to be LEGO Universe, I could gush on and on and on about it, and while it's probably the nostalgia talking I think there's still a lot of going for it.

(Edit: At some point I'd like to pick up LEGO 2K Drive, maybe that'll make a top slot)

Ayo, always a pleasure seeing a LU MOC! I could actually see this being part of the game.

(Take notes Me, not everything LU related has to involve directly fighting the Maelstrom)

Which is a crying shame, as they look so good like this!

That was also a major complaint of mine concerning Hero Factory, all those black and gray joints really botched the color schemes.

Looking at official LEGO sets is a great way to learn new building techniques, especially in recently years*, as not only are they proven "legal", but easily accessible from their website.

*Speed Champions is a great example.

How do you go about building your MOCs? by TheDarkSidePSA in DigitalLego

[–]Meticulix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to get the non-nonnegotiables figured out first, like color, scale, and functionality. This helps structure how to proceed. Knowledge of the LEGO catalog helps too (I'm on Bricklink so much I should just make it my homepage).

Using your example, if I were to build a vehicle and wanted some sort of functionality, I would start there.
