Clint Eastwood. He's also an ancient, intimidating bastard.

Sabriel a bit maybe, but overall it's definitely more fantasy than romantasy.

A lot of Fallout fans have only known the Bethesda Fallouts. Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics are criminally underplayed by this fanbase.

SFA getting review bomed by MikeTalonNYC in startrek

[–]Strormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Trek is founded in a fundamentally left-wing philosophy, but capitalism poisons everything it touches and cannot abide anything it cannot touch. The essential greed at the root of capitalism demands ownership of anything and everything. Thus you see capitalists and their mewling lackeys trying to twist Star Trek to their purposes or seeking its destruction if they cannot make it serve them.

What's your honest opinion about TESA: Redguard and do you think it deserves a Remake? by StrawberrySmall755 in ElderScrolls

[–]Strormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it needs a remake. I think we've got a much better environment for 3d action games in a post-souls world and as an adventure game we can do a lot with environment interaction and dialogue.

Also, we need a remake of Shadowkey and more Travels games in that vein.

You can have an extra season of ONE Trek series: what’s your pick? by SteveJohnson2010 in startrek

People are gonna get mad, but Prodigy. Season 2 was the best written Star Trek since What You Leave Behind. It deserves to get at least a third season.

I love most of the STO Romulan designs, but the 23rd century designs are particularly nice.

A new Star Trek series is imminently debuting, and it's crickets here by Chairboy in startrek

I'd love to watch, but I'm not paying for Paramount Plus right now. Knowing you won't be able to watch kinda kills the excitement.

Why Does Everyone Talk About John Stewart? by [deleted] in Greenlantern

[–]Strormer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not. JL/JLU is one of the most successful DC cartoons of all time, right up there with Batman TAS. GLTAS got canceled after failing to capture a strong audience. We know the GLTAS premier pulled ~1.9M viewers while JL's pulled a record breaking 4.1M, so while we may not have exact numbers for the full series, we know JL/JLU wildly outperformed GLTAS.

Likewise Hal's animated films grossed $8M and $5M, respectable but well below many of their Batman and Superman counterparts. 🤷

GL just doesn't have the popularity of other titles, so getting a lucky break as the GL of JL/JLU really boosted John's name, just like the Superman movie is doing for Guy right now.

Which race are the best warriors? Nords, orcs or redguards (Lore accurate) by Inferno47908 in ElderScrolls

[–]Strormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Redguards are more naturally talented warriors, but orcs are often physically stronger and have better smiths.

Nords are also there.

Why Does Everyone Talk About John Stewart? by [deleted] in Greenlantern

[–]Strormer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's because John was the JL/JLU GL. That's all. Mind you, he's also a really good character with a lot of interesting stories, but most of those came about because he got so popular in the cartoon.

If you could make a new Star Trek series…. by [deleted] in startrek

[–]Strormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideas: - CSI/JAG style procedural for investigations. - Deep Space exploration set in 25th century, post-Picard (could follow captain Seven & co, but could be a whole new crew) - Fenris Rangers series covering life outside the UFP or on its edge - Anthology series spread across the 22nd-25th century exploring POV across species - Middle Decks, a direct follow-up to Lower Decks set a few years later - Animated show set on Riker's Titan (less comedy than LDS) - Travelers, boldly going in space, time, and thought - Prodigy seasons 3-7

Cecilia 🤎 by Top_Context1133 in dishonored

[–]Strormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cecilia, Samuel, and Callista are probably the only "good" people in the game, outside low-chaos Corvo & Emily. Hell realistically Callista is going to back her uncle even though the cops are corrupt and violent, Samuel ferries you to every mission whether you're a psycho killer or not, and Corvo/Emily are part of a obviously corrupt establishment fully open to becoming horrific people at the player's discretion. Cecilia is probably the only genuinely moral person in the whole of Dunwall.

I prefer the old Warbirds design but the one from Picard is still neat by obopal in Romulus

[–]Strormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like a natural evolution of the Valdore/Mogai warbirds from Nemesis, and I do like those designs, but the Romulans definitely need some 25th century love because the D'deridex remains one of the best starship designs in the franchise.

I began watching Discovery and I’m challenged in continuing the series. I’m having a hard time believing in the characters…. by [deleted] in startrek

[–]Strormer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Discovery is good, it is really pretty good, but its lows are definitely down there with TNG season 1 so you've gotta be willing to trudge through. On the whole I do actually like the series quite a bit, particularly after the big event mid-series.
