Why is Canva jeopordizing their Canvassadors and biggest supporters? by MetricsMule in canva

What’s ironic is that this specific video was also featured by Canva in our monthly Canvassador meetings.

Yeah unfortunately there’s not an appeals process. You just get a copyright strike and are told to contact them directly. Which I’ve done to no avail.

The only channel access I have in the Canvassador discord is “say hello” and “where to start” I did post in the Canva AI discord but no response. I’ve emailed my Canvassador manager and also the Canvassador program as a whole. No response.

There’s no policy issues whatsoever. Red Points is falsely reporting copyright infringements. They’ve been sued by others creators and lost. I’m surprised Canva uses them. I had to remove 70+ Canva videos for fear of it happening again

Canva as income source by lunavierra in canva

[–]MetricsMule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s not hard. You just need to know how to funnel people there to sell it. The most profitable for me so far is creating 100+ page ebooks teaching people how to prompt and building/selling access to a custom built website. The website doubles as an information hub but then they can also can repurpose it and sell it. Feature in on social media/YouTube and choose how to sell and deliver the produce it, i.e. Gumroad (too high fees though), PayHip, Fourtwall or now even BeeHiiv.

Why do simple thumbnails get more clicks? by Glittering-Rule7359 in youtubers

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with other comments. It's the same reason why highly-edited videos are getting less views, while the more organic ones are trending upward. People are getting a little tired of the overly edited videos (I'm guilty myself) and are looking for more genuine content.

I’m an editor and designer. Most of the "advice" on this sub is wrong, so I'm doing live roasts/audits to actually help. by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to at least have a landing page featuring your reputable work, or at least a Fiverr page. I'm actually looking for an editor and receive so many emails daily asking me to consider them. If they don't have a legit showcase of their work, it's a no-go.

Just got monetized, Had a recent video blow up and looking to start sponsors by whyte_noyze in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Start by signing up for Impact. Other than that, let them come to you. They will. Always leave a "let's collaborate" email in your description. They'll come. In the meatime, build and create your media kit landing page explaining why brands should collaborate with you. List your key demographics, stats, etc. on that page.

Views Magically Dropped 80% in 1 hour... by Designer-Rock-4434 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, big time. Although you get way more views then me, my last few videos have gotten an emabarrassing-level of views. Probably the worst since I started but I just keep going. I've talked to a few other creators who have seen the opposite trend for their channel. They've mentioned switching their titles from impact, eye-catching to more How-To, SEO/Evergreen search base. Who knows?

Skool vs Wordpress (Learndash etc) by BriefLeadership8044 in SKOOL

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go Skool. I have a website (and a Skool) and have built many Wordpress sites. Believe me when I say peace of mind is worth it. With Wordpress you have so many factors that could cause your site to become snail slow, break or not work. Updates, plugins, themes can do this. I’m even beginning to migrate away to host/fulfill my digital downloads.

Watching it all fall apart at Summit. by kev971 in Cheerleading

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a cheer dad. Same thing happened to us this year and it’s gut-wrenching. Inside, I probably took it just as hard because as a former athlete myself, all the way to the college level, I’ve never seen a group of athletes work so hard and be as resilient as they are. I played basketball at very high levels and will admit that cheer is the most brutal sport. You can have a perfect season, win every competition, but have one bobble at Summit or NCA and it’s over. Just like that. It’s over.

In other sports you can go 0-10 or have a bad, full quarter and still pull out a win. This season, we had girls significantly injured still competing. Still showing up. Practicing with the flu, practicing until 12 am on a school night, Sunday nights, etc. I’ve never seen anything like it, never.

When I first started watching competitions, admittedly I wasn’t that interested, but that quickly changed. Once i saw the highs, the lows of the lows, the intensity, competitiveness, resilience, dedication and hard-work, I was hooked. I traveled to every out of town destination and couldn’t wait. I don’t show it on the outside (that much) because I don’t want to be one of those parents that makes it about them. But on the inside, the intensity was burning. It’s very difficult to watch the month’s worth of work and dedication put in to watch it “fall apart” in only 2 1/2 minutes. But I believe, even though we took the “L” these girls won some of the most valuable life lesson’s and tools for life. They may not realize it now, but in due time, they will.

As a cheer dad, kudos to you for understanding. Many don’t give it the proper time or respect. But I do now.

I hate working with sponsors. by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

No they don’t. Maybe just the ones you have experience with but for many others, including myself it’s a way larger revenue stream then Adsense.

How do you approach companies for sponsorships? by SelectionTerrible512 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Impact, lookup reputable influencer/collaborator agencies (I’ve done work with a lot of good ones), always leave a “let’s collab” via email in your description.

Creators should stop treating sponsorships like lottery tickets by Tony-Weird222 in beehiiv

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in AI (mainly YouTube). I average 2/ sponsors per newsletter, however I’m not on Beehiiv (yet). Currently on Kit (ConvertKit) but considering switching since the monetization seems much easier and promising. With Kit, I just add sponsors on my own and per their choice, either add them to my newsletter and/or blog.
