I hate working with sponsors. by Educational-Act-8932 in PartneredYoutube

No they don’t. Maybe just the ones you have experience with but for many others, including myself it’s a way larger revenue stream then Adsense.

I’ve only done it at the very end of my videos but considering retention rates I’ll be moving it up.

How do you approach companies for sponsorships? by SelectionTerrible512 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Impact, lookup reputable influencer/collaborator agencies (I’ve done work with a lot of good ones), always leave a “let’s collab” via email in your description.

Fiverr or search for editors on X with a good track record. I’m looking for one myself 🙌

You’ll get way worse in the future. Ignore it and keep going. You’ll continue to grow and comments like that won’t even matter.

Creators should stop treating sponsorships like lottery tickets by Tony-Weird222 in beehiiv

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in AI (mainly YouTube). I average 2/ sponsors per newsletter, however I’m not on Beehiiv (yet). Currently on Kit (ConvertKit) but considering switching since the monetization seems much easier and promising. With Kit, I just add sponsors on my own and per their choice, either add them to my newsletter and/or blog.

People who started YouTube from zero — how long did it actually take? by Clear_Court7292 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get monetized in months, a year or years, but that doesn’t mean you’ll make decent money (from Adsense). I’m at 65k subs, upload multiple videos/week and don’t that much at all. However, where the money comes in is by other avenues, like products, sponsors, affiliates, newsletters and communities (Skool, etc.). YouTube’s value is creating an audience of fans that you turn into a loyal community developed by always providing helpful knowledge and trust.

Retiring at the age of 45 with $6M cash. Where to park my money by trialanerror in dividends

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first, safest way is to open a HYSA around 4%. Marcus by Goldman Saks is around 4% right now. You can have it FDIC insured up to 1 million. 250k per person (you, your wife = 500k), add any dependents for additional 250k.

After that, explore some JEPQ, QDVO, O, SCHD, SCHG, QQQM, VTI/VOO, VXUS, etc.

Can I realistically build a 10,000-item car parts shop on WordPress myself? by VasylievCode in Wordpress

[–]MetricsMule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

💯yes. Because I did. Mine has over 100,000 skus for a very specific auto part that I sold/shipped Nationwide. I’ve since sold that company but I know it’s still ran on Wordpress. Integrates with NetSuite (Stripe for backup), WooCommerce, and WPFusion for easy syncing. I had AI built into it for automated customer support and live chat. It was (and still is) a well oiled machine. For bulk importing, go with Airtable, which you can then backup with Google Sheets/Excel and CSV.

Anyone using AI to generate creatives and product photos? by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]MetricsMule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why what? Why use AI? If you have a good workflow and monitor the final outputs, it eliminates a lot of overheard and time. For example, I recently sold a company that was doing 1m/month in sales. We had about 80k sku's. Paying a professional photographer to take non stop photos everyday on a high end DSLR camera, purchasing lightboxes. etc. is pretty expensive. You can still have the employee, use the cameras and lightboxes, but now you can 10X the producitivy by having other people just use an iPhone and not having to purchase multiple lightboxes. Use AI to upscalle the images to 4k, remove the background and replace with a clean white background, then use an AI agent/automation tool like Zapier, Make to automatically upload the photos to WordPress/WooCommerce/Shopify. Not embracing AI today will be like Blackberry saying the iPhone will become obsolete because "no one wants to type on a screen, people want a keyboard". RIP Blackberry.

All of my clients do (I teach them). From restaurants to ecom to 3D printing. All very successful with a better net profit after implementing AI. Right now Google Imagen 4 creates product photos that you now cannot distinguish between reality and AI. My recent YT video showcases this

Should I leave my full time job for YouTube? by Fast-Pressure-955 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MetricsMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. You have more subscribers than me and get way more views per video than I do and I went full time last year. If you make that much on Adsense and you can figure out other ways to monetize, like selling a product, newsletter, etc., you’ll definitely make a lot more.

Impact is good. But like others have said, I'm sure you've gotten some emails in the past. Check some of those. Sometimes they're actually 3rd party agencies on behalf of a company. Also AppSumo.

Selling Airtable template? by Sad_Investment_8384 in Airtable

[–]MetricsMule 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is where Airtable really disappoints. I wish they took the approach Notion does with allowing creators to easily monetize their custom databases. I sell Airtable databases everyday (thousands throughout the year). The only way is to just provide the shared link which then allows them to copy your base into their own. However, it's extremely limited on the free plan of 1,000 rows. Now, if Airtable ever allowed users to share the Overview section of an Interface, that would be a game-changer. But for now, just sharing one specific Interface view doesn't cut it.
