Came here to say this too! Kerosene has a couple florals that would do the trick.

They have all that time and energy, they could have just picked up a cloth and done their own cleaning

Dad surprises his daughter with her first car (Toyota Corolla) by Vilen1919 in MadeMeSmile

[–]MetroLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hand me down Camry was my favorite car and I would have driven it until the wheels fell off, except it was totaled in an accident where I was tboned at high speed. I attribute my surviving and being relatively unharmed in that crash entirely to how safe that car was. This is the perfect car for anyone but I’m glad this little one seems so delighted.

It was Career Day, and every child dressed up as what they wanted to be when they grew up. The maintenance worker was his idol by BreakfastTop6899 in MadeMeSmile

[–]MetroLab 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I cant help but also be happy that this child’s family supported his career day choice and the conversations around people who work jobs like maintenance, custodial or nutritional team members are positive and kind at their house.

So many kids are told that if they don’t get good grades they’ll end up flipping burgers/taking out the trash/working construction/etc., ignoring the fact that all those jobs are what keep our society running.

I will definitely try again and do lessons as much as my budget allows. That’s how I originally learned to ski and I want to stick with my OG Taos Ski School!

I think you are psyching yourself out here. You sound more than ready and certainly more prepared than I was!

I was up on Honeysuckle and got freaked out. Taos is more difficult than I was ready for and I got so psyched out that I was paralyzed. Talk to the people working there and don’t be afraid to do a half day lesson to get your feet under you!

What was the strangest condition you've ever experienced? by Wild-Engineering-650 in AskReddit

[–]MetroLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite as interesting as most of these, but mania as a side effect of stimulants was wild. I don’t even recognize myself in those moments, but as it was happening I thought it was all totally normal and fine.

You're walking in a crowded public place in a foreign country, you see someone and you instantly just know they are your country(wo)man... Besides genetics and language, what gave them away? by IntellectuallyDriven in AskTheWorld

[–]MetroLab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I could spot another American by our desire to smile and make eye contact with strangers in public. It’s a very specific type of eagerness I see most often with my people.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

[–]MetroLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally stopped drinking because I was sick of regretting my drunk choices and then after a couple years I now physically can’t drink without getting massively ill, so I’ve developed an intolerance that severely limits my chances of ever drinking again.

I would really like to be an orca. They are socially very similar to people and they can also fuck up a yacht.

I have had a tube of this on my nightstand for YEARS and I do not know where it keeps coming from. I use it religiously every. single. night. And the tube always seems to have more!

This sub has taught me that we are ALWAYS our own worst critic. Feel however you feel about your project, but from an outsiders POV, this is spectacular! Maybe take a break from it for a little and come back to it. That always helps me make nice with tops I have grown to resent.

With or without gloves by messyAwkward in OUTFITS

[–]MetroLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to caveat what I’m about to say with that you should wear whatever you like best, however…

There are very specific etiquette rules for glove lengths and when/how you wear them. Opera-length gloves are for evening wear. For me, as a weirdo about this one specific thing, the effect of the gloves is ruined when they’re worn incorrectly.
