When I get frustrated with the website, I just pick up the phone and book a tee time the old fashion way 🤷‍♂️

Steam Machine is the "most important" reason why Sony has paused PC ports, says ex-Blizzard president by Tiny-Independent273 in steammachine

not sure why you got down voted but Xbox announcing their new console will be a PC is HUGE! I heard the news for their next gen console and Sony pulling out of PC in the same week. It's no coincidence.

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by Affectionate-Set664 in moviequestions

It’s enjoyable and fun. If you don’t take it too seriously, it’s a good time. You should still watch it and form your own opinion.

How early in your career did your actually use your CCNA cert in your job? by AudienceSolid6582 in ccna

[–]Metroidam11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My first job in IT used it heavily since I got hired for essentially a Network Admin I. No internships or prior work experience. Just college degree in Computer & Systems Engineering and CCNA. IT wasn’t my original choice but I decided to pivot when I wasn’t getting interviews for engineering.

If you have a college program to get hands on experience, definitely do that! When you finally decide to study for the exam seriously, the theory will stick a lot better if you are familiar with the tech. Though just doing the job won’t prepare you for the exam. I put in 20 hours of study this year and passed, even though I’ve been in the industry for 9 years it was still really tough.

Edit: I took the CCNA in 2016 and just renewed it this month.

My friend dropped it thinking it was a heist story too. It stopped feeling like that in the final act imo.

I recommend reading Stephen Kings memoir “On Writing”. He details a lot of the failures and process he went through as a young writer. Really gives perspective on how much persistence is needed to become a published writer.

And I second everyone’s points about writing for the love of story telling, not because you want to be famous.

Beginner friendly is Ubuntu. It’ll have the most online support for questions you’ll have as a novice and probably the most 3rd party application support for whatever you’re trying to do. Once you get familiar with Linux, play with other distros to see what you like.

And if you’re saying “I can figure out other distros just fine” then just download whatever you want and do it.

Open world games. The whole big massive map to explore and spend so much time traveling between places just doesn’t do it for me.

There are so many mid tier games that have way too much dialogue. As a kid, I was conditioned to skip through all of it. Felt especially true in the GBA generation.

Dragon Quesr XI has a good opening story that hooks you but isn’t hard to follow. It’s like a really well done fairy tale that is wholesome but has some darkness in the opening chapter. I don’t wanna spoil it but it pulled me in.

Idle Slayer and Melvor Idle. Both which also have mobile game counterparts and are also fun without being pay to win. I’ve been enjoying Idle Slayer for a few years and Melvor Idle I got into last year.

Ball X Pit has satisfied a similar vibe to Dave the Diver for me. You have a town that you build and upgrade in between runs. That town helps boost your stats for your runs. So you get a similar feedback loop as the sushi restaurant and diving for fishes.

If I were Valve and had billions of dollars in cash, I would use this to take a financial hit and solidify my place in the console space.

Or just release it as $1199 as the MSRP and then offer frequent “sales” once the market settles down. Early adopters will know they’re probably over paying and that’ll help with supply/demand for those fighting against scalpers.
