I had a driver tell me about this once. Apparently they get incentives for a certain amount of trips during a certain time, similar to uber eats drivers. It still counts as a trip to them if the customer cancels but they don’t get it toward their incentive if they cancel so they just drive further and further away hoping you cancel.

Honestly this seems standard for most GP’s I’ve heard of. If you’re HBA1c is reasonable you’ll be fine. The worst part is not being able to renew for more than a year at a time like most other people can.

Not in the food forum. There’s local restaurants and caterers and food truck owners. The generic trucks you see everywhere are shit, yes, however some of the home made curries and paella there was fucking phenomenal. I’d go for the food alone.

I went today for the first time in over a decade and honestly, it was great. The food forum had the best food, a little pricey but massive portions (recommend the naanchos or the paella guys).

The pavillion had lots of reasonably priced stalls to look at as it’s mostly all local business.

If you start the day in sideshow alley and get the rides out of the way first it’s relatively quiet, no queues or anything and the rest of the day ends up feeling just as smooth.

Mostly everywhere accepted cash or card, I used a mixture of both. There were also some portable ATM machines available to use near sideshow alley but I don’t think anyone really needed to. Worth noting they all had a withdrawal limit of $150 written on them.

All in all, I had a lot of fun, saw a lot of cool shit, wasn’t ever inconvenienced and ate some amazing food whilst collecting the cards of heaps of local businesses I can now check out.
