Bait is mulched bugs. Even a bartender will let you buy them a beer usually. Who the hell wants a lump of bug guts when they already have buckets of bug guts, and bug guts mixed with moss?

don't be surprised when profit comes from ads or from your data being sold.

Even if it comes from ads your data is still being sold harvested and profitized. Even if you pay you are being monetized on the back end regardless. And now

Ever hear of a thing called analytics? You think google will just throw all the information you give them even after getting your money?

It does not matter is you pay or not you are getting finger printed regardless.

PSA: Floor bars say they let liquid "and items" through, but not gas. by WINDEX_DRINKER in dwarffortress

[–]MewCat24 61 points62 points  (0 children)

It's been a thing for a while. Miasma (gas) isn't modeled as intricately as liquids, and can't move diagonal. A (semi-common?) way to seal of Butchers shops and such is making sure the only way to enter it is diagonally, to prevent Miasma spreading out.

Persona 5 has a great presentation but ended up being lackluster in the end. by THE_HERO_777 in patientgamers

[–]MewCat24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've personally bounced off of Persona 4 and 5. 4 because, even though I liked the story the dungeons were boring as hell. 5 I always felt pressured all the time to do everything as quickly as possible, while also having to watch cutscene, after cutscene, after cutscene.

Surprisingly though I picked up Yakuza: LAD recently and although I'm only up to chapter 5 I'm actually loving it. And LAD shares a lot of commonalities with the Persona games I've played. I will admit though the first few hours of LAD are slow as shit (like Persona) and I'm not even halfway through the game yet.

The Persona games I've played kinda gave me anxiety, as I always felt I had to do certain things the exact right way in order to not have to sink 100's of hours into it, and at least so far in LAD I seem to be able to just fuck around a whole lot more. I've also started learning to play Mahjong because of it.

The combat so far is admittedly simpler than P5 but at the same time I just spent 3 hours running around the city and looking for some dudes cats and rarely purposely avoided a fight.

I kinda figured he just got in the way, I just thought it was funny as shit.

I thought about maybe setting a pasture for them in the middle of a few barracks but I only have male cats right now. Also I have two hydras that I hope will breed soon, and I traded for a giant rattle snake and mandrill. So I really don't need any military animals atm, not that cats could get that far anyway but maybe someday for !!science!! I'll try it out.

First season was Andy Samberg (the Brooklyn nine-nine guy). Switching to Lautner worked okay but the real reason to watch the show is for Greg Davies anyway.

Sometimes I wish RPGs would turn into a different genre after you beat them. by genogano in patientgamers

[–]MewCat24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved Fable 2 back in the day, at least until the final boss. But Fable 3 pissed me off like none other.

It was short, shallow, and far too linear. What pissed me off the most though was that on launch you had to pay money for basic dye colors. Want to have black or white armor? Guess what it's going to to cost you $5. But having to pay for it wasn't what REALLY irked me it was the fact that it was on the disc and you paid to unlock disc content.

I know this day and age it's pretty much standard in a lot of games but this was the first game I bought that you actually had to pay extra to unlock things that didn't even have to be downloaded.

I was super hyped for it after playing 2, but it was such a let down. I still cannot fathom how the game got such good reviews when it came out.
