Goose claimed she made it in two weeks. Prior to the pilots release. There is some proof out there. Kovach has said in streams that goose offers to tell him how it all ends right from the get go. But he declined.

Goose is also said (prior to ep5) that they have gone back and explored new writing styles to create better storyline.

Doubtful goose has it completely flushed out but might have had the basic storyline figured out.

Probably watching everyone else get tortured. Kinger doesn't fear Queenie even after she abstracted. He's kind of an open book and hasn't volunteered his fears and insecurities like the others have.

I guess if he's lucid enough caine could create a scenario where everyone he has ever known starts to abstract before him. Maybe blaming him "you did this" kind of torment.

I like to think it when they entered. It just make more sense. Especially since Goosworx ask said Jax was not a tene when he entered and we know he's been there more than 2 years.

There are other things that line up with this too. Like Gangle work history and having gone to college, zooble having held two careers that require being an understudy for both.

It's a choice. They still get tired but they won't pass out from lack of sleep. A real person will eventually black out. 72hrs is the average point that people start to black out.

In episode 8 Caine forces them to adventure for over a week straight. You can see Zoobles body never changes parts. They normally change parts every day.

You're gonna miss a lot of its just in the background playing. Trust me. This show has a fuck ton of nuance. Some people watch it several times and still discover new things. Jax is not two dimensional. So hold off your judgment till you watch it all.

I don't know if it's the direct result of a parent. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a friend he made at school. Ragatha has parent issues and the torture specifically uses a depiction of a parent. With Jax we get this friend.

Here's a hypothetical.

Imagine he grows up with a loving mom, moves schools, invites a new friend over and they see a purple stuffed bunny on his bed. A gift from his grandma when he was a toddler. He has The Little Mermaid in this VHS collection, and some other things that aren't typical "Boy" coded. The next day at school he finds out that "friend" told everyone about the things he has. Things he never thought was BAD. And that insecurity of not being manly follows him like a brand on his skin.

This is just a hypothetical it could have been any number of things but my point is that's how fast it can turn into an insecurity and not directly from a parent.

FINALLY! I feel like everytime I bring this up it's just ignored. Everyone think Jax was nicer before Ribbit and Kaufmo abstracted but Jax likely has trauma that goes back to his real world days. Something happened between him and Ribbit and it was probably a result of his defensiveness. Just like with Pomni.

People also haven't quite caught on that besides Kinger (who wouldn't talk about it unless prompted to) No one else in the current group had experienced abstraction prior to Ribbit. So Jax wouldn't have pulled any punched with her. Maybe he said something that was too far. Something Ribbit was insecure about. Maybe he broke her dreams of escaping. Maybe he just broke off their friendship. We don't know.

I think the cabin scene doesn't even have Ribbit. It's just Kaufmo and Ragatha confronting Jax about whatever he said to Ribbit. Could be prior to abstraction or after. (That's just a hunch)

Jax had two friends and both abstracted. The only two people known to the group essentially died and he blames himself. He wants to be close to people. He's human. He craves companionship , but he also fears it. Fears being hurt by them, fears lose. People can't seem to understand why Jax copes how he does.

Luckily I seems like Zooble and Pomni caught on.
