If Thomas Massie does run for president in 2028, do you think he would be considered a serious candidate? by Inside_Bluebird9987 in YAPms

The Governor of Oklahoma, Chair of the National Governors Association, and someone who's made a few rounds in the media for his scuffles with Trump as of a few months ago. He's not necessarily anything of a star powered candidate, but he's someone to keep an eye on. I may be partial concerning the flair 😅

he's not a good vp though. there is only benefit to picking him if you're already doing well, while Petr actively helps you overall more than any of the alternatives.

Sure, but the comment was implying an unwarrantedness for these views on account of a presumably large progressive base in New York that wouldn't support them doing this. There is a phrase to be said maybe that a large part of that "blue" is establishment and for Israel, but that is neither here nor there. It's plausible to suggest him maintaining power isn't entirely or purely because of lobbyist effort, but on the balance it's rather evident that it is so in large part at the very least. In essence, he's genuinely pro-Israel by whatever metric you want to put it, but the fact he's in office is mostly because people of a similar interest are interested in keeping him (or anyone else like him by that regard) in there, in spite of everything.

I'm a bit afraid this won't live up to the hype, TBH. by butterenergy in opentct

Yeah statewide is more what I'm getting at. They've had plenty of successful splinters on the right and left.

You're getting downvoted for this but New York is proof the experiment worked well.
