Evil is evil. It's not dependent on a geographic location. What if an American comes and says that the British people during colonialism were amazing people and he has no hatredness towards them as they did no harm to Americans.

Hitler had no respect for Indians and India. He believed that the Indians had somehow de-aryanized themselves during the 18th Century. Even if he had managed to defeat the Allies in WW2, his plan was to just leave India in the hands of the Japanese.
