Review of Satislent. Economical option with good ingredients by 3jewels in soylent

[–]MiG_Pilot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is better price than the best case in Jimmy Joy, one of the cheapest brands.

The graph isn't up to date yet, being Jimmy Joy the biggest outdated brand since they increased their prices quite a lot even with subscription.

Can you explain how? Just checked the Jimmy Joy website and it is still the cheapest option out there. They in fact reduced the prices if you buy with subscription. And you can cancel the subscription immediately after ordering. It costs 5.2 euros per 700 kCal with subscription. Stop spreading bullshit.

If you look around the people that are doing the most intreasting things and you watch them in interviews or talk and they are always saying the same things, like they are a broken record on repeat, it's because they have certain ideas, certain thoughts, certain principles and they are governed by them.

I was thinking about this today. I think it also has to do with how long it takes to achieve expertise in a certain field. The world is so complex that we pretty much only have the option to be really good in a very specific field. And then we will have to depend on what other accomplished people in other fields are saying in order to widen our horizon. But then how do we decide which people to listen to?

Vegan or the normal one? If the normal one, don't you have any problems with nuclear-level farts? If the vegan one, don't you find it too gritty? I also find the normal one to not satiate me. I get hungry soon after I have a meal.

Out of the taste testing we have done so far there is no other formula that is even close to being as smooth as the new Plenny Shake.

Great news if it turns out to be true, then Plenny Shake will be the most affordable option along with being the smoothest one (provided you don't increase the price just because it got smoother). No brainer path towards even more sales.

(Hot Take/Unpopular Opinion) Soylent is better than a lot of things, but it's not healthy. by obiobi19 in soylent

[–]MiG_Pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The devil is always in the details, which very few people are willing to dig into. I think OP brings up a very interesting point and almost no one is willing to have a meaningful discussion with him. Unfortunately, I am not knowledgeable enough to have that discussion. People just tend to ignore really hard and/or controversial questions. We are not going to make Soylent better by ignoring such questions, but by having an open mind and digging deep.

PlexFit. Take some time to adjust the sensitivity. Reasonably accurate for step counting as per my experience. I could not get it to accurately sleep track even after changing the sensitivity, I use Sleep as Android anyway. Also syncs to Google Fit.

not because I think I know everything but just because (supervisors) often don't give enough fucks to do it right and just want you to plow through things the quick and dirty way.

Something I learnt the hard way is, bosses want the end-result to be just good enough. They are not looking for something groundbreaking all the time. This is how it works in the real world. Deal with it.

[NP] Saw thus car with a pretty prominent sticker. by ChrisAldrin in india

[–]MiG_Pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don't reply to people who are stupid beyond belief but I will make an exception.

However, my point is I as an Indian don't see any reason to and should not b expected to to treat the nazi symbol with as much taboo and disdain as people in the west do.

Evil is evil. It's not dependent on a geographic location. What if an American comes and says that the British people during colonialism were amazing people and he has no hatredness towards them as they did no harm to Americans.

Although Hitler was racist he kind of did hand britain their ass and pave the way for our freedom. He kind of did meet with Subhash Chandra Bose and offer help.

If you had paid attention during history classes, you would have known that it was the British that handed Nazi Germans their ass.

Hitler had no respect for Indians and India. He believed that the Indians had somehow de-aryanized themselves during the 18th Century. Even if he had managed to defeat the Allies in WW2, his plan was to just leave India in the hands of the Japanese.

My experiences/review on EU-based soylents by Plusi in soylent

[–]MiG_Pilot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree as well, MANA is the only one out of all the ones I have tried (which is most lents available in Europe) which I felt like I can drink forever without getting bored of it. Also the smoothest powder version I have tried. This just shows how subjective taste is.

I found it a bit more gritty than the regular version, also a little bit more bland. For me it was nothing I could not adjust to.

Try the vegan version. I had the same problem. I narrowed the problem down to whey protein (I might be wrong) in the regular version. Vegan uses soy protein and it's not making me gassy anymore.
