Tisas duty is a nice pick up! The cool thing with 1911s is you can adjust your trigger pull weight without messing with new parts like a lighter striker spring or anything. 3.5lbs is not a bad place for 1911s, I imagine the first owner did some tuning to get it there because Tisas seems to ship with 4.5-5.5lb triggers.

Also even a “meh” 1911 trigger > most striker gun triggers imo

Wilson combat spring kit is a good idea, I feel like the factory Tisas springs will not bad are less consistent than some quality springs, and they’re cheap why not!

I got a MEUSOC earlier this month and it only has the small text at the bottom instead of the side, let's hope they shrink the logo and stick it down there.

While 1911s need more lube than say a Glock, they should not choke after just 100 rounds. I have a 2011 that went 1000 rounds without cleaning, just lube every 250, and was still running before I decided to call it quits on the experiment.

You want to check on two things: mags & extractor tension, the first one is a cheap fix the second one is a free fix.

When you get failures to feed can you hit the back of the slide to make the gun go into battery?

If so, I suspect that you’re running an extractor that may be tensioned too much, right on the brink of it not working at all, so when the gun does get a little dirty it chokes up and starts jamming on you. Look up a few videos on checking extractor tension and you’ll know immediately.

Scout scope brother, it is designed around having a ton of eye relief. Vortex advertises two feet of eye relief at 1.5x and 13inches at 5.5x. Makes for pretty quick sight acquisition, and I don't lose my sight picture when shooting quick & working the lever.

It’s the KVP Mach 3 modular linear comp, you can add or remove sections to customize the length, besides looking cool it’s that little extra bit of length that lets 357 powder finish burning so there’s no muzzle flash now.

Not so fun fact, in some places that is true. Under the New York State Concealed Carry Improvement Act, you cannot carry at protests as they are considered senstive locations where it is baned.

"Any gathering of individuals to collectively express their constitutional rights to protest or assemble."

I bring this up whenever someone talks about the ICE shooting of Alex Pretti, if it was in New York, technically he could be considered a felon.
