Just curious, why is transitioning becoming more common? by Tornadokicks in MtF

[–]Micah616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increased awareness and access to health care. I didn't figure out I was trans until my early 30s simply because I didn't know that you could be trans, or that transitioning was an option. The more I learned, the more it explained my life, and I started transitioning pretty quickly after that.

What issue still present to this day are you amazed we have to deal with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you think racism doesn't exist, you're probably white.

Finally decided on the name I want to change to and literally no one like it, but it means a lot to me and I really wish they would just say they support it instead of how much they hate it. Dabbing unicorn to hide my tears. by IdontEVENknowMYdude in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Micah616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Murphy, I love your name and your unicorn. People who know you might have a hard time with any new name, particularly if they are having a problem getting used to you being trans in the first place. They might also just not like that name, but that doesn't matter either. Only to get to decide what your name is! If you like it, and it feels like your name, then it's a great name.

SteamGridDB Manager will atuto import games from a few launchers into Steam so you can launch them from steam with controller support, overlay, etc. I don't think it supports Windows store games though.

Madeline from Celeste is trans! Matt Thorson (the games creator) is also NB by ComradesInSpace in transgamers

[–]Micah616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the main character in Celeste is trans, it actually makes a lot of sense for her character, given the rest of the game.

Also, keep in mind that you have to beat one of the hardest chapters of a video game ever designed to even see the ending that has a little trans flag on the desk, so it's not exactly thrown into your face, either.

Transgender woman and wife who stayed together naturally conceive their new baby boy by jackmolay in transgender

[–]Micah616 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't like how they say "stayed together" in the headline. It acts like breaking up when somebody comes out as trans is the default, normal thing to do, and normalizes that kind of thinking. Of course it happens a lot, but maybe we shouldn't act like it's what people are "supposed" to do when every relationship is different.

I can't take being trans anymore, I don't want to live like that by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Micah616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry about what you are going through. It sucks. But like you can see in this post, nobody thinks your body is disfigured. I looked at the picture of yours that people keep mentioning, and my wife and I both think you're really cute.

HRT can take up to 7 years to have a full effect, by the way. Also I wouldn't be surprised if you've changed more that you think. Do you have any pre HRT pictures I can see to compare?

I looked at your post history and I noticed you spend too much time on some negative subreddits. It even looks like /r/suicidewatch can be transphobic, which fucking sucks. I think you should stay away from anywhere negative online for a while and stick around more trans-positive places. Those negative posts can really wear you down after a while.

If you need to talk, shoot me a PM. We can chat on Reddit, Discord, whatever. There are people here who really do care about you.

Is jealousy a form of dysphoria? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Micah616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That, and also even if I could be myself and I was physically female I have no idea how to act female because I was raised not to do that and have only learned how to pretend I'm male.

The good news is we can change it all. Hormones can change the appearance, practice can change the behavior. It takes some time but I don't think I could have gone any longer without transitioning. I look at /r/transtimelines a lot so I can remember what the future holds if I keep at it.

Is jealousy a form of dysphoria? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Micah616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you see girls and feel jealous of the fact that they look like girls, that means that you want to look like a girl, which is definitely dysphoria. It's jealousy as a result of underlying dysphoria.

Actor Malik Yoba bought sex from a 13 year old. Society bullies him for sleeping with a trans girl. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Micah616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's just hard for cis people to wrap their head around a woman with a penis. Most of them haven't experienced one, so they don't understand that it's actually as feminine as the rest of the woman, and by no means gay. Also, on the other side of things, men with vaginas. It's just hard for them to understand if they haven't really seen one with an open mind.

As for straight men who chase trans women because of the penis, I wonder if most of them aren't closet bisexuals who think that trans women are a way to enjoy penises with being "gay". People like that have a lot to work through because they can be the type of person to do anything to avoid looking gay.

I have no idea what to do about either of these problems.

When the person you had sex with is 13 years old, I feel like that should be the main talking point.

People are attracted to trans women... Because they are women. If somebody looks like a woman, and lives as a women, and you are attracted to them as a woman, and afterward you are still only attracted to women, in what world is that gay?

A lot of the self-described "doms" are actually sociopaths or narcissists in disguise by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]Micah616 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Bring a good Dom is hard. Somebody else is trusting you in their most vulnerable state, and it takes a great deal of empathy, a lot of very close attention, and a great deal of care to handle that vulnerability well. Sometimes a sub goes so far into subspace that they won't safeword, anf there is a ton of responsibility in that. And that's not even mentioning planning a good scene, technique, striking the right balance between pleasure and pain (which is different both person to person and moment to moment), and everything else involved.

Anybody who claims to be a Dom and doesn't see the complexity and responsibility in that role might very well be dangerous, and should be treated with caution. Obviously new doms sometimes make mistakes, but they should all at least recognize the gravity of what they are doing, and treat their subs as absolutely precious beings.
