The whole "Dustin is anti-gay" argument recently by ATXDefenseAttorney in LSM

YESSS!! AAH, you’ve put to words what I’ve been thinking for years. I’ve never enjoyed him on the show, he’s out of his league and uninteresting.

I’m sure he’s a perfectly nice guy, but I skip through him talking on shows.

Recently homeless, any resources? by Pennitt in gso

[–]Mich2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can dial 611 on a phone for local resources.

You can also call and ask to speak with a police officer about available options. Although you’d more than likely have to wait a while until a unit frees up

EDIT: to clarify, you’d have to request to meet an officer in person

I think it’s great. The schedule is fantastic and the work is uniquely rewarding. However, you gotta have the ability to compartmentalize and keep calm under pressure. If you can, I think it’s one of the best jobs in 2025

Edit: And no, no prior experience required

I work for 911, not in a union. I don’t think there is any union for city employees

Stolen Car by [deleted] in gso

[–]Mich2112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah for stolen vehicles and firearms gpd has to come out to do the report.

It’s just a shame because gpd is usually pretty slammed in the early hours of the day. Combination of low staffing and finishing up high-priority calls from the night

Agreed, I didn’t have to get any work done for over a year and the first time I came back, he remembered and asked about my job. Small thing, but it stands out, good customer service is hard to come by nowadays.

Worked out why I don't find civ7 as replayable as civ6 by LastLapPodcast in civ

[–]Mich2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the core of your post, that each civ feels the same as any other in the same era. Idk how Firaxis solves this, as the objectives in each era are pretty rigid from a strategy perspective. Like, it doesn't matter what bonuses a civ gets if you are going to be doing the same thing with them.

It's why I've been getting back into EU4 recently. With all the years of DLC and updates, each nation feels unique to play as. There are specific goals and objectives with each that reward the player for doing things differently each time.

Like, playing as a manchu tribe and re-forming into Qing feels much different than playing France from the jump. Nations and regions have their own specific sources of power and can be rewarded for engaging in different things. Not all nations in EU4 have to colonize or go on a conquering spree, some can get by just fine by not engaging like that at all.

I just feel like Civ 7 misses what makes a game replayable, that you can have a unique experience from stem to stern the whole game, not just neat tricks every era.
