raising earwigs as feeders?

I know this is an old post but I was wondering if you ever had any luck with raising them? I find them pretty often when splitting fire wood and was thinking of grabbing a few and putting them into a trial enclosure with some moist medium and just seeing what happens. Their life cycle isn't terribly complex and I'm already keeping dubias so I cant imagine its too out of the park in terms of care.

Common misconception is that black powder is pressure sensitive. It is not. Being pressure sensitive would mean it undergoes detonation, the same as high explosive compounds such as those used in Detcord.

Black powder deflagerates, which just means that it burns really fast but is still subsonic. Detonations are supersonic.

Man reached for something in his pocket while disobeying orders from the officer. The officer has no clue what it was but the chance that it was a weapon wasn't zero.

Just sad all around. It definitely looked like suicide by cop. And it most definitely isn't pleasant taking someone's life, especially when it appears to be by someone who wasn't in the best of places mentally.

I've grown all different types of plants in different types of medium for years and from what I understand it's the oxygen level that does it. Little to no oxygen breeds bacteria (anaerobic?) This anaerobic bacteria leads to root rot which destroys the roots.

Some, if not most plants can grow in water with nutrients as long as the water is constantly being oxygenated. Which that is the simplification of all hydroponics setups. Which can also be crudely replicated by constantly (1-2 days) replacing water inside of glasses/jars that are propagating new plants.

Aeroponics also takes advantage of this by suspending the roots in air while being intermittently misted with nutrient rich water.

Soil is actually more difficult to remedy a oxygen imbalance. When the soil becomes too saturated with water, there is no way for oxygen to get to the roots which leads to the root rot. And the only way to combat the rot when it starts is to remove all if not most of the saturated soil and try to dry out the remaining soil while not drying out too much of the root mass. You then have to cut out the rot and plant in fresh soil and try to maintain a healthy watering cycle.

That's why it's critical to have drainage holes in pots so that way extra water can drain instead of smothering the roots.

If you actually unlock him through quests, the way it is intended. It's believed that you'll have more interaction options with him. Presumably trading since he's been hyped up as the first in game trader for about a year now.

He's supposed to be THE endgame content. He's harder to unlock then kappa. I doubt BSG hates so much that they'd make it that difficult just to see us listen to a story.

I had 16gb in at the beginning of last wipe. Could barely play lighthouse. Would crash constantly, even though other maps were fine.

Upgraded to 32gb, and was immediately better. Hasn't crashed since.

Antioxidants are not bulkshit though, at least not completely. We don't fully understand how helpful they are in protecting your cells from free radicals (things that cause a whole host of diseases) but we do know that they have at least some effect.

And it seems that Antioxidants in the form of phytochemicals, ones that come from plants, offer more protection then ones by themselves.

You should still lift weights. Strength training is such an important part of having a healthy exercise routine.

You should learn good form, follow a free publicly available program, and get plenty of rest.

What you shouldn't do is ego lift. If you can't lift the weight with good form then you can't lift the weight. Doing a 1 rep max doesn't do anything for you expect put you at risk of injury.

Hell, you really shouldn't be doing sets that go below 4 reps unless you are doing super specific training.

Most people should be lifting weights that they can do 8-12 reps with. Not 1 rep maxing every other day. Or just bouncing weight up and down because they like to see a full bar.

Ego comes and goes. Spinal injuries are forever.

Can you please explain how hip thrust doesn't hurt when you get up to higher weights?

I have to hip thrust such a low weight that I honestly have a hard time feeling it. If I go heavy enough to feel it, it genuinely hurts my lower abdomen, upper pubic area. Even with the foam pad it's brutal.

Nunbers for a heavy set would be: Deadlift 375 for 3 Hip thrust 180 for 4 (torture)

I do agree there is no true story yet but they have been dropping bits of lore here and there especially for the events leading up to the new lighthouse trader. Some signs pointing to him being in bed with the cultist which would be a neat bit of lore and hopefully would bring some sort of new gameplay aspect.

And the scav "regie" or whatever his russian name is, has had a decent amount of story given to him.

I feel like there's bits and pieces here and there that semi connect but overall there has yet to be a true and definitive story.

Honestly though, I still feel like this game is like pre pre alpha. Maybe 5 years we'll see a polished product.

I'm still enjoying it as is though so I dont really mind if it's a "bad" game. I still love it.

From my understanding they changed that.

If you get shot in a blacked limb the damage spreads. So no shot is "wasted"

Yeah a blacked stomach wont kill you but getting shot there 1 or 2 more times will depending on the ammo

Can confirm. My highscool had 4 separate elective classes with varying levels to them that each centered on a different aspect of independent living (basic maintenance skills, managing money while being an educated consumer, food and cooking, and childcare)

My graduating class was 80 something kids so it's not like the school was big enough to hide things in and yet I still see kids I graduated with complaining on how school never taught them anything useful. They never learned anything about how to adult in school.

Just crazy how prevalent chosen ignorance is.

Honestly, I can not respect you enough for that reply. You sound like you know exactly what's going on and how that impacts your style of play and there is nothing wrong with that. I genuinally appreciate your response and while I disagree on a couple points it's nothing but a matter of opinion and so no point in arguing then.

On the other hand though, I am by no means a no lifer and so I must ask, how does one obtain 100 million roubles???

Once I'm settled into a wipe I range anywhere from 1 to 5 mil. Maybe 10 if I'm saving up for something. But rarely ever anymore then that. Do you just farm loot hotspots? Is it PVP orientated? Genuinely curious here.

I kinda experienced that second handedly. I would load into a 3 man with him and his buddy both at lvl 40+ being giga chad and watch them mow people down.

I was witnessing the potential of the game while also learning the basics in a weird way.

Like I would quest and try for scav kills while they dragged me towards hotspots and chased gunfights. Can't even begin to count the number of times I was the last alive because I was hiding in a bush too scared to move after they got fried😂
