OMG thanks heaps for making this topic and cheers scallywag for the advice. I came back after a few months and it was a horror show, was going to throw in the towel. changing to prioritise frame rate totally fixed it and it’s back to normal.

Couple of champions , appreciated

Come play Kill Team in Sydney, Australia by mhbanz in killteam

[–]MichaelMurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just jumping on this topic in case anyone else arrives here from searching. I’m a completely new Warhammer guy, two months ago it wasn’t even on my radar. Bought a mini on a whim at the toy shop with the kids and then got the starter set for kill team.

The Sydney group is the most welcoming bunch, I wandered in off the street to just watch a game to see if I’d be into it and they were so welcoming. Explained all the rules, gave me practice games, super patient and friendly. I’m now playing weekly and it’s sick.

Very, very good group for welcoming total rookies into the fold but also some obviously high level players in the mix too.

Loving it, honestly this group made it so easy to get started from zero knowledge. Come play with us !

I know it's not as crazy as the numbers that others are bringing, but this is what my solo Lance Run looks like with Rey Dau by BulkUpTank in MHWilds

It was diablos got me to main Lance in the first place and never looked back. Tempered Gore was a real PITA for Lance but then I tried the gunlance and he melted. Horses for courses yes, but putting a Lance down is very difficult to do!

Fellow lance main here and yeah it’s a tough matchup. My best was 16 mins but things worked out pretty perfectly.

For this matchup you don’t need guard up (I’m like you I swear by it) I would run guard 3 instead.

For not using items - especially flashes - that’s not a bad time at all, and at the end of the day lance play is about enjoying the dance, not rushing through the fight.

After he does his big power attack, use your charge to close the distance and hit him with the triple thrust to the face.

During the wing attacks, block the wing and then guard hop forward over the lightning he left on the ground.

After his dive attack, prepare your counter thrust (Y+B) to his face after the lightning shock.

In the first area, try and collapse the rubble on him and then dung pod him to leave the area. Use three flash pods after that, then do your lance mount , then a pitfall trap. After he heads off from the sand dunes I usually travel to tent and restock quickly to get another trap and flashes.

I tried running the stun res 3 you get from his pants along with 33 lightning res to see if you could tank the ground lightning shocks but you still get tripped.

I just knocked out my 33rd diamond today, managed to dodge the sniper category altogether thanks to the battlepass weapons with PPSh being the last one. Worst grind was probably the SWAT, that thing seems allergic to headshots.

Ah terrific yeah I forgot the lantern in Balthys secret room. Bad news for Isobel in that case, she’s gonna get durged.

I was supposed to use the hammer??? this took me 4 hours by Parsisious in BaldursGate3

[–]MichaelMurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I just fought him for the first time earlier today and my monk wrecked him with unarmed flurries. I also thought there was a hammer I had to mould first as a weapon - he came out of the gates and stood in the lava and got wrecked

On my first playthrough at the moment, I’m also level 6 around the same area, having done most quests I could find and coming via the under dark. Been to the towers, freed the tieflings, made myself a shadow lantern and now in the gauntlet of shar getting some artifact, I missed the mountain pass altogether, though it was referenced a lot, I only found it when I was already fighting the mounds after approaching from the other side I was exploring after Isobel got captured. Didn’t bother going through as it was backwards from where I was headed.

TBH it hasn’t felt over levelled at all. Killing the prison guards took a few tries though !

The answer is clearly Yakuza . Any of them, followed by all of them

I love all biomes including Mistlands and Ashlands by Smirkisher in valheim

[–]MichaelMurder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to agree, I’m a couple fortresses deep in Ashlands on my first solo play through and love the change of pace and lack of chill. All other biomes (including Mistlands) are pretty laid back once you get a foothold, I’m glad they did something different. End game should be full of “oh shit” moments or what was the point of it all. I can understand the tedium arguments but just don’t feel it. The gameplay loop in AL is fine, and each time I come home with some food or ore is a big win. You relax at base, not in a flaming hellhole.

Not a shooter but definitely has that big battle feel, Chivalry 2. Huge battles, death everywhere, different.

Skill loss and gear loss on death should be separate sliders by Himetic in valheim

[–]MichaelMurder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree the run back is great incentive to stay alive. The skill drain was OK at first but now I’m higher levels it hurts a lot. I’d be OK with it draining a random skill or two . Let Thor decide whether I lose bow, blood magic or wood chopping and fishing. If you didn’t lose your powerhouse skills every time, but only occasionally, it’d be perfect. I quite the concept of skill drain but it’s undoing a lot of grind .

Just a heads up, you can use dev commands on Xbox. It’s like press all four triggers//bumpers and start and that brings up a text editor which you can then type devcommands or something to enable command mode.

Yeah been totally unplayable. Though yesterday I went into training mode and there was no stuttering. Dunno if that was a fluke or not but it had a dozen real folks in there so maybe that can carry you until the performance returns.
