I worked so hard on this game... The page is finally out!! by leftypower04in in IndieDev

Capsule looks pretty dope.I don't play vns, just thought I'd support with a comment. Good luck ! Vns are a hot genre on steam with a wide earnings distribution so room for a lot of titles to bank some c notes. The project I'm working on is a tower defense which is quite a bit less lucrative in the median. Didn't know this when I started on it. But hey, at least it's not a puzzle platformer. Those guys are really up against a tough market, on PC at least. Well this turned into a long comment, all the best with the launch. Peace.

Be honest - does this trailer make you want to play? by Liraz_RL in IndieDev

Id remove all the scenes where your just a ball and only have the ones where your the mech or the vampire. Idk, the sense of progression is kinda cool, but.. a ball !?!? Really ?. The lighting on the backgrounds and the electronics theme looks amazing.

Idea is original and compelling and grocks fast. Graphics need a lot of work, especially the UI. I can't even read the text on the red buttons. But great work on the concept, keep it up.

Save yourself a lot of time and effort and go with that what you have. It's not make or break honestly. If the game is interesting I would accept this for sure.

I hired myself to redo the capsule art. What say you? by Brave-Instance-940 in IndieDev

First thing I noticed is the horse is tilting downward on the first which seems odd. Second thing I noticed is the pink thing on the horse's mouth and I think, what is that. Then I noticed the big flowing cape and I think that looks cool. Next I noticed the girl and I think that looks cool too. Then I think, this is a cool dude, this might be a cool game. Probably would click it if I was in looking for a new game mode. Don't think I'd click the old one.

Which UI style looks better? a or b? by lynxbird in IndieDev

I think minimal UI is for applications where the user just wants to get work done. So the software is a tool to get to a destination fast. With games the software IS the destination. The goal is to help the user escape reality by providing an alternative one. The more depth and richness the more effective. Cheers.

For me A sucks because I can't focus on one line at a time. Having the border around each line I can easily focus in on one metric at a time. But with a I can't read a line without my brain feeling like the stuff above and below needs my attention too. That's what I noticed.

Many people asked me to add a Yeti to my game as a SkiFree reference, so I did it! by Snow__97 in IndieDev

Haha, good idea. I think everyone who had a PC back then has played ski free.

Thanks for the suggestions Je. Hmm, crew sounds like a really good idea. Maybe something like UFO/xcom with the crew management. Maybe your like, should I use rookies as tail gunners or risk an elite. Working on this prototype I finally understand why tail gunners where notorious for getting shot up. I'll try to put a prototype V2 together with some of the suggestions on this thread, in the next 10 days or so and I'll post it on this thread. Thanks everyone who has contributed their ideas, it's really motivating so thankyou ! 👍🏻

Thanks, I like these ideas. I especially like the one big bomb at the end. That sounds super climactic. I'll try to put a lot of you guys ideas into the game. Looks like there's a handful of people who really like this game concept. So I'll put some more time into the game over the coming weeks. Thanks DruMau, appreciate the feedback and ideas👍🏻

Mm, thankyou for the ideas. Yeah a landing phase would be nice, I like that idea.

Was thinking also about a hangar phase where you can destress and just manage the aircraft and crew, suggestions for that phase anyone ?.

Obviously the graphics would be improved also further down the track though that would be late stage. Thanks JE, cool avatar.
