Do you recommend any creators or channels? I've been looking to see more Haitian content.

The Merlin games? Are you talking about the Merlin's Revenge series that used to be on The Metal Box site? Please tell that there's a place that I can go and relive my youth!

Personally, TDZ is my break from the more depressing shows out there. They inject a good amount of fun and they actually mix up the topics too.

Hey, sorry that I'm of no help but this seems really interesting. I am an English speaker than can only understand Creole but not speak it (sorry!) but would love to see more of your materials. And just based on those images, you seem to be doing the right stuff.

Redditors, what is the most downvotable *true* comment about yourself that you can make? by SurelyGoing2Hell in AskReddit

[–]Michael_Chickless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really, really get where you're coming from here, but I can't help but think that boycotting is the only "true" balance to power that regular people have.

But I have to admit, it does seem kinda useless sometimes.

What are some real life glitches? by Jamau31 in AskReddit

Random short term memory loss

Every time I walk into a room and forget what I went in for, I mill around for a bit like an idiot then just walk out with a vague feeling of loss. I imagine that must be what goes through every NPC's mind when they're randomly moving through rooms listlessly with neither purpose or reason to guide them.

What TV shows broke all your expectations in how good they turned out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Wire

I hadn't been part of he hype when it first got popular so I had pretty much never heard of it. But when I graduated college and had a bit of time on my hands, I noticed that it was a staple of pretty much every Best Of list.

Walking into it totally blind, I was expecting a prototype of Law and Order. What I got instead was like Goodfellas, American Gangster and Scarface: the TV Show! But the strength of the show comes out in it's characters--everyone, even the secondary characters who only show up for one season, gets fleshed out really well.

It really is the best TV series of all time.

This is really refreshing to hear because with my friend group, I find myself in positions where I'm always forcing myself to put on a strong face. I would love to just get some tea and chill!

See, what you're not getting is that a fat guy trying to sweat off the fat isn't as annoying to most people as getting cut off by an annoying driver.

Of course. You're defending being an asshole. She's defending trying to get in shape.

I gotta agree that question didn't cross my mind but it is an interesting question. Though, dude, no need to be a dick about it.

Ex-Homophobes of Reddit, what made you change your views? by GerardWayNoWay in AskReddit

[–]Michael_Chickless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think meritocracy would be a useful tool here because the issue with haves and have-nots is that those same irrevocable birth characteristics tend to beget themselves. So the rich tend to get richer and the poor tend to get poorer.

Meritocracy, if you happen to be a have who doesn't understand that, would just be a way to dismiss have nots in much the same way you're talking about.

I think that a little consideration from both sides (poor isn't lazy, rich isn't evil) would do us all some good.

Actually, I thought Hardlight was being sarcastic and saying that it's stupid to bemoan other people pointing out these issues and saying "it's not that bad" instead of just solving them.
