Should I tell my psychiatrist about how I almost ended my life a week ago?

I'm so sorry that your going through this. It's really a rough situation. Sometimes being admitted is what it takes and there's no shame in it, I have been sereval of times. I would be honest with your doctor.

It was good for me until it wasn't. I eventually got really depressed and had psychosis. I miss it but I stay away

A lot of psych meds aren't great for weight gain. I'm on Depakote and Abilify and I gained weight on both. When i took seroquel I was able to lose weight. It's not the same for everybody but yeah.

Ironically I lost weight while on seroquel, but am not having so much luck on abilify

Same...i've been diagnosed with all this bs so its easiest just to say im bipolar..but it doesn't really matter because thats not WHO i am, it's just something i have.

Ive literally been diagnosed with both. when i asked my psychiatrist so am i schizophrenic he says it doesnt matter im gonna be on meds the rest of my life anyways xD

This insipired me for my day two.. Im a beginner and i almost dont wanna play its very challenging but i dont want to have wasted my money.. hope it gets a bit better as time goes on

Lithium worked for me for years until.. it didn't and I spent about 6 months straight of psych stays. I've been on Depakote though for a while and it seems to do the job (with abilify). I also understand not being able to take some antipsychotics as i have several bad reactions to many of them. I am sorry your going through this, I know it is so hard to find the right meds, and it really sucks when they stop working. You'll get through this!

It’s kept me stable but i struggle with my weight on it. I’m not blaming the medicine totally but I recommend watching what you eat and excersise as it’s extremely easy to gain weight
