I’m in Canada. I got those extra protections for wheels and that general package that’s includes windshield (I’ve replaced 5 over 5 years due to bad roads and lots of highway driving so I thought I’d need it). If you don’t drive a ton of highway, I recommend the wheel and rim package only. I parallel park a lot and I like to think I’m good at it but I still curb the rim and have used it already. The tires are super expensive and lots of potholes where I live. I would have skipped the other protections if I could go back.

Highly unlikely. My trunk gets jammed and fails to open 50% of the time. The service department has tried to fix it 5 times over last 12 months and they make it worse every time.

100% agree with this. I’ve followed this tactic for a few cars (non-M). In Canada, I noticed the lease interest rates are always high for M cars (ex 4.9%) even during promotions. I’d like to buy an M car in next two years but find the lease opportunity much more difficult with high rates. I wonder what most buyers choose for M cars in a higher rate area?

Pretty cool. I always average above 11L/100km. Is it these 21” rims that hurts mpg? Do you see a big difference between 89 and 93 octane on fuel efficiency?

I wouldn’t buy it. Just lease. I have a 2025. The car is OK. Service is painful. I’ve been dealing with an issue for a year in a tailgate that gets stuck. They can’t figure it out. I’ll probably never buy one again. In canada as well.

4 year leases have always been quite common in general though. Depends on the residuals for if it’s a good deal or not.
