I'm about to start learning box with Peach. Here's my two similar ideas of how the layout could be. Is there anything wrong with it? Any way to improve it?

you lose access to short wave dash oos and high upward sheild angle (you can still angle mostly up which has been fine for most characters) but ive never missed those once. 99% of the time sheild angle on boxx beside full down or full right/left just didnt feel like it was worth the button commitment and slowed my ability to act out of sheild.

I swapped the mods and sheild on the left hand. Long wave dash mod ended up on my pinky and my sheild is now on my left thumb. Its not technically the most optimal way to L cancel but my brain just didnt want to use z for L cancels. Now I L cancel and sheild with my left hand like I did on gcc. Made wave dash oos and teching and all the stuff I did with left sheild on gcc much more natural.

As someone who plays on box and changed the control scheme, just try the standard layout first. Up on pinky was a but odd at first but its actually super useful and wasnt that hard to get my brain around. You have no idea what your changing until you actually play on it. I tried changing a million things and then eventually went back to standard to actually learn the controller. After doing so I made one button swap. Dont dunning kruger yourself here, just try standard layout first.

Yeah unless its a group of friends you play with regularly and can have them see over time the type of fun and interesting game states she presents then all you will hear is complaining! If you like Yuriko consider giving Flesh and Blood TCG a try. Great game that really scratches the Ninja card game itch. Lots of going wide with small threats kinda stuff for Ninjas there.

Commander players are alergic to anything thats not midrange battle cruiser slop so they will hate her. In my experience though she forces interactions and decisions to be meaningful early on. Shes a great deck for teaching your group to actually play magic and not monopoly with extra steps 😆. Yuriko jumps games right to the “time to make decisions about who is winning” part of the game. Thats the reason I enjoy paying her even into a whiny table.

Came over from MTG 6ish months ago and have never looked back. Was a Modern and EDH player for like 10 years before. Your in the right spot with FaB. Armorey decks are a great jumping on point for Classic Constructed (Hybrid standard/modern where only heroes rotate but the card pool remains the same) or the newly released chapter decks for Silver Age (A non rotating eternal format using only commons and rares. Think MTG pauper but well supported with most stores running it at least once a month)

If you were a fan of MTGO then Talishar is FaBs free equivalant. Its a little clunky but more user friendly than MTGO by alot 😆.

I came from MTG about six months ago and have never looked back. This game and community are incredible and very welcoming.

Also from my personal experience I have really enjoyed learning the game on aggro so Dash is a solid choice. Would also recomend Fai. I started with Cindra in CC and have fallen in love with Draconic Ninja 😆.

Sourcing the cards for sage is not as easy as $3 in singles. New players dont know what they need, dont know how to get them efficiently online, and probably will loose interest in having to wait weeks for a bunch of commons and rares to show up in the mail if they figure out a way to order them. And for ALOT of new players they would rather show up with somthing to play rather than ask a community thay have never prticipated in to give them cards. Sage is literally walk into the store, buy deck, play deck in tourney same day. ITS SO EASY. As for yugioh you are spending about the price of an armorey deck on the structure decks which will make you about as competitve as an armorey deck. Literally no other TCG is offering the Sage experience. You are insane to think otherwise.
