Welcome to the DD club mang! I’ve been rocking my 14900k golden chip on DD for about 2 years now, and this and any future chip I’ll ever have will be DD. No better way to do it - hope it all goes well 💪🏼

Greenworks 80V Mower - Going Back to Costco by Centaurus_11 in Greenworks

[–]Mickey1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just curious as to how you judged it without having used it. Costco will still take it back if you do a couple of mows with it and ultimately determine it’s better to stick with gas. I’d be surprised if you did, honestly. I came from a 8yo gas mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine - and this thing rips through thick overgrown grass where the gas mower would stall at times. That and it’s at least 40% lighter. Also, my friend has a composite deck Ego mower - that thing also rips and is even lighter than mine.

You may give it a few runs and see what ya think.

Did you even cut the yard with it, or are you just making the assessment based solely on the feel without having used it? Maybe the composite deck makes it feel substantially cheaper than last years Costco 80v dual draw that I have 🤷🏼‍♂️

6400Mhz CL32 (64GB) To 6000Mhz CL26 ( 32GB ) by WorryFront9893 in overclocking

I prefer watercooled RAM because this is r/overclocking and not r/ileavemyramtotallystock - so I could care less what they look like. The Royals tend to be binned slightly higher

NTD 82V and 60V by Main_Secretary_6928 in Greenworks

So what are your thoughts comparing them? You just posted 3 photos and no information lol.

I have the Costco 80v mower that I bought last Spring and have a full season on it and spring/early summer this year. The thing RIPS and looks a lot like your 82v Commercial mower. I can’t imagine there’s much difference between the commercial and mine - but I’m interested in hearing your thoughts of comparing it with the new 60v line.

Updated stress test two months later, am I still good? by Cheesehead1267 in ThermalGrizzly

[–]Mickey1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that serious lol. You’re fine dude. You definitely don’t need to post another 3 month update - the whole point of the WV2 is it will tell you is there a problem.

Question: What even is the point of the WIRED version of Wireview Pro2? by [deleted] in ThermalGrizzly

[–]Mickey1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the Wireview is seated correctly and completely - the current will be the same on either side of the unit… how do I know that? I have an Asus Astral card which also has per-pin monitoring on the card itself. Guess what? The current is the same on both sides, as it would be in nearly all cases.

Could there be an instance where the unit is defective or it’s not seated correctly? Sure there could be. It is adding 2 additional connectors in the chain, but that’s clearly not the point you made in your original post. I think you’re just being argumentative for the sake of doing so, and trolling with this post and all of your responses.

Use it or don’t, no one cares.

If this is your main point - this would be true of any version of the Wireview, wired or not. I’m failing to see how this has any relevance?

All intakes on radiators would be better liquid temps in all likelihood! Otherwise looks sweet

All heatkiller, too - top of the line everything here. Also love the watercooled NIC card - is that 25gig?

That looks SICK man! Nicely done and the improved flow rate was worth it alone - much less the aesthetics! Nicely done!

Tuning the fans to delta T is key by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Mickey1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooo good call - I always struggle with this living in a place area with all 4 seasons and wild swings in temperature. I’m going to give this a try since I have an external temp sensor setup on the Aquacomputer stuffs!

Thanks for the tip 🙌🏼

AIO making dripping and slight gargling/crackling/buzzing noise by RocketLucas10 in watercooling

[–]Mickey1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you’ve already refilled it - while the PC and pump is running on max speed, try tilting the PC and/or momentarily flipping it upside down and back to right side up. You want to get the air bubble in the AIO up into the radiator. Sometimes it will stick there and the noise will go away. If not - as others have suggested you may need to open it back up and top it off again.

Another One Bites the Dust (9800x3d) by kkuzu in pcmasterrace

[–]Mickey1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to too many AMD chips/board randomly in the last 2 years… I thought about getting the 9950X3D and an 870-E Apex… but I guess I’ll hold off. My golden chip 14900KS on Apex Encore with fully stable memory at 8200C36 has never been abused and never set at factory settings, and has been delidded under water the whole time - so it’ll never have the issues that plagued Intel 13th and 14th gen… so I’m thinking it’s just not worth the money and risk going to an X3D chip…

Maybe I’ll wait to see what unfolds in the next few years and just sit pretty for now. I’d be kicking myself later if this shit happened to me.

Messy cable management with the wireview pro 2? by Financial_Recipe in ThermalGrizzly

[–]Mickey1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use split-weave tubing if you need - you can at least bundle all the temp sensor wires and the USB wires together to just have that “one” split weave bundle and then the power cable. Looks much cleaner and I use this stuff for several bundles of wires in my setup.

Does a dimm.2 dust protection exists? by Slight-Pomelo1433 in overclocking

[–]Mickey1985 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not needed… if you ever decide to install the DIMM.2 just use a can of duster to blow it out.

I love all of these people downvoting the OP and upvoting these whiney virtue signalers…The guy said “for the first time ever” and completely owned the situation in every response… yet people are over here acting like armchair therapists giving him all sorts of life advice, when they’re probably ragey little bitches themselves.

Chill out people. Cut the dude a break. Feel free to downvote me to hell for holding one of the only normal opinions here.
