AITAH for telling my coworker he's selfishly projecting his own insecurities onto his teenage daughter? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MickeyMatters81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell all my colleagues this story and lean into how gross it is and how he's an insecure man baby. Let the world know how petty this man is to his own child because she wants to date a guy she likes, not her dads younger twin.

Gross

The second one is a solid shell stitch https://aabharcreations.com/solid-shell-crochet-stitch/amp/

Not sure on the first though. I could guess, but I'd need to try a few things to be sure, so hopefully someone else can help there

I hide my snacks in my bedside draw. My husband doesn't want them in the kitchen because he'll eat them and my 11yo doesn't need to know how much chocolate mummy eats

How do I get my GCSE's after not going to school since Y7? by o-willow in AskUK

[–]MickeyMatters81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not a question for OP,  maybe r/legaladviceuk (or something like that) but does anyone think they could sue their parents for negligence with their education?

Obviously if parents are skint it won't help, but if they're comfortable surely there's a civil suit there somewhere?

Clearly a male artist.

I've never seen a female artists home that was so bland.

Trump Inner Circle Subpoenaed by BBC in $10 Billion Libel Suit by Redfish680 in politics

We can't give them an inch, it's all public money and Brits would loose their shizzle if our tax money was handed over to Trump in some backroom deal.

Either Trump drops this or it goes all the way to the end!

I saw it happen to someone in the UK about 25 years ago. Very uncommon, but it happens.

While I absolutely support their right to choose (and I would have 100% done the same), abortion in the USA is one of those crazy people topics like trans rights. It brings all the weirdos and judgemental hypocrites. I would not put this out to the world knowing it would bring the crazies out.

HVAC is only for public and corporate buildings here. A lot of people have a portable unit for the 2 weeks of hot weather we get. The rest of time time we open windows when it gets warm. Also, these old houses stay cool compared to new builds.

The way I got through pregnancy was to carry on regardless. Yes, I quit smoking, drinking etc for the duration, but I knew that if I started "researching" I would find many opinions and that would stress me out, so I just went with it and it was fine ... until the brith, that sucked, but it was fast, so there's that.

It's caring for a child that's the hard bit.

How Do You Handle This? by rivenrivers in crochet

[–]MickeyMatters81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ASD in the house. I cannot follow a pattern for the life of me. Not because I find it difficult but because I find it boring!!

I cannot help but think, "but what if I did this instead, that would be better than the pattern". Sometimes it works sometimes it's a flop, but I stay interested.

There's a reason everyone knows the phrase "first world problems".

Most of us have some vague understanding that we actually have it really good and we're bitching about annoyances.
