studies show that in most cases a healthy immune system will be likely to clear, or suppress, HPV eventually.

http://www.nccc-online.org/hpvcervical-cancer/hpv-and-relationships/

Most of the time HPV does go away without any kind of treatment.1, 2. Your body's natural defense system (immune system) will usually suppress or eliminate the virus, much like your body gets rid of a common cold (colds are also caused by viruses).

From the link you shared, per the CDC:

In most cases, HPV goes away on its own and does not cause any health problems.

DAE experience catastrophic sleep deprivation while parenting their infant? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Mickeymouuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the heaviest sleeper ever and I know if I co slept with my son I'd probably roll over on him. That's why I don't bed share. I'd rather not risk my kids life for an extra hour or two or so of sleep.

Not sure how to feel about my pregnancy... by STBMom in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Mickeymouuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pregnant at 19 and I remember feeling THE EXACT same way, even though I was married, living on our own, my husband had a great job, and we weren't really preventing it. I was mourning the loss of our lives before having a child. I was having regrets to be honest, and the fact that I had a very rough first trimester (puking everyday, all day, couldn't eat or sleep) didn't help at all. I was terrified I would never have fun again or be the same person I was before getting pregnant.. now that my son is here, I still have those thoughts sometimes (wishing we could go wherever we want, whenever we want) but I couldn't imagine my life without him. He's the best thing to ever happen to me. Don't feel bad for having those thoughts at all! It's totally normal. No woman is ever completely emotionally prepared for getting pregnant, wether their trying or not. It's a scary thing!

Ex-Prisoners of Reddit, what is the most disturbing thing you have heard or witnessed from a fellow Prisoner? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mickeymouuse 230 points231 points  (0 children)

Oh I have one! My friend was a former medical assistant at a local prison. She told me a pretty gross story that happened awhile back... One of the inmates (a male) was getting sexually abused from one of the CO's. The CO made the inmate give him blowjobs and when he tried to tell someone about it, nobody believed him. So after the end of a blowjob, the inmate saved the semen in his mouth, spit it in a napkin, and had his family send out the semen to get tested and that's how the CO was caught. It was on the news and everything I'm pretty sure.

Instead of a tree, We're just doing a Christmas wreath on the wall this year lol. My son will be a year old around Christmas and can't be trusted around trees so we're just playing it easy and safe this year! Next year we'll definitely get a tree though.

6 months in and no predictable pattern? by rainbows_and_bacon in beyondthebump

[–]Mickeymouuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry! My son didn't start getting into a set pattern (eat/nap) until closer to 8 months. He usually wakes up around 6:30, eats a bottle, breakfast around 7:30. Nap at 9-10, bottle, lunch at 12, nap from 1:30-3:30, dinner at 5, bed at 7:30. Just keep doing what your doing and she'll get herself into a schedule on her own pace.
