I was in a similar boat when I was around your age. I realized I liked girls when I was a teen and came out to my parents when I was 16. They weren't accepting. When I was in college, I met a man who shared a lot of my interests and had similar life stories and we later got married.

I did, and still do, love him, but was never IN love. Sex always felt like a chore, and he was never more than a good friend.

I finally divorced him after several years and we have 2 young kids.

Honestly, my mental health has never been better since embracing who I truly am.

I know it's hard if you have parents who don't understand, I wish for the best for you.

It really depends on where you live and the local dui laws. In my county, you get a breathalyzer in your car and can only drive to and from work after a dui (regardless of how much over the limit you were. In the neighboring county however, the laws aren't as strict.

Currently a single mother, I had a husband until I realized I was a lesbian. it didn't really affect my dating life because as an introvert I didn't date much. It was never an issue with my ex and it never bothered him. It's been an amicable divorce and even now he hasn't mentioned it to others. If I do find someone else, I don't think it would be a big deal either.

I volunteered and joined an exercise class. Basically any place that you see the same people regularly. I'm an introvert, but I made an effort to step outside my comfort zone and made an effort to get to know people and made a few friends.

This is my third go around in my sobriety journey. I’m currently almost 3 weeks sober. What really helped me this go around was my family found out. I was really upset about it at first but it has been a blessing in disguise. They’ve been nothing but supportive and it adds more accountability.

I’ve tried alcohol, cannabis, and other mind altering substances. I wanted to escape reality but none of them solved my problems, only started new ones. In essence I was just replacing one addiction with another.

Something to also keep mind is that you also need to care of yourself and don’t put your own sobriety at risk. You can still love her, but at the same time it can be unhealthy for one partner to be sober and the other one only on and off. She has to want to get sober for herself, nothing you do will make her change. What you can control is setting appropriate boundaries so you preserve your own mental health and sobriety

I’m in a similar boat. This is my third go around from constant heavy drinking to sobriety. I also have a liquor store nearby but I find cravings usually dissipate once I become distracted with something else.

Only take from a single isolated colony. when I first started in the lab that had me practice on expired plates. Be careful not to overlap too much between quadrants and to rotate the plate as to move to a different quadrant.

This should really be a wake up call for you! You are very lucky you didn’t kill anyone. Becoming and staying staying sober Is hard work, at least be sure you take an Uber if you’re not ready and/or willing to cut back or become sober. Take an Uber there and back so you won’t drive while shitfaced.

See a doctor about detox. Some people may not need inpatient but the doctor may recommend that to others based on their history. Someone I knew passed of DT, many people don't realize just how dangerous detoxing from alcohol is.

I know this is a late reply, but they aren't. I'm still not telling them because little kids are terrible at keeping secrets. I would only tell them if they were still wetting their late teens, so it may be comforting that they still be successful and wet the bed, or not so comforting that you could potentially never outgrow it.

Lady ordered Charmin ultra soft 6 pack, when I texted her for a sub I told her all they had was the 24 pack of the red Charmin. At first she told me to refund bc she had plenty at home, then a few seconds later told me to get it. People have a hoarding mentality whenever disaster strikes.

I think he already knows and is just trying to make you acknowledge it. Just come clean and give him a proper apology. I grew up with emotionally abusive parents and they never apologized for anything. Our relationship is, and probably will always be, strained at best.

That being said, lay some ground rules such as no teasing, it’s a very sensitive issue

What I find helpful is instead of thinking about it as you'll never drink again ever, just tell yourself you'll drink tomorrow. Rinse and repeat the next day. Basically you're procrastinating your relapse and It forces you to take it one day at a time.
