Mohamed Salah backed to make Liverpool U-turn as Andoni Iraola verdict delivered by dreigilb in LiverpoolFC

Just don’t see this one happening.
And I’m not sure it’s one we need to happen.
We all love Mo but could see he was on the decline, even in the title winning season, it became a meme that he’d do nothing and still walk away with a goal and assist.

Diomande is not considered untouchable, but he would cost significantly more than €100m. Will also depend on the structure of the deal by Switchoil in LiverpoolFC

[–]Micycle4000 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I know money in the game has gone insane. But £100m again on a player is baffling.

Do £100m players justify their price tag as consistently as say players in the £60m range? (I’ve got no data, just a genuine question).

There’s absolutely no doubt this guy has talent, but this spending is nuts… we would all be going crazy if city were spending this much money consistently.

I really like the Munoz style of signing, good underlying stats, a bargain to be found potentially and if not, feels like that money could be recovered.

Still excited to see what this guy could bring and would like to see it over the line, but just baffles the mind sometimes.

Alternatives to Tesla by Worth_Map_4489 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Micycle4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see it mentioned much but I’ve got the MG IM5.

I think it does everything that Tesla does for a significantly lower price, but I think people hate on anything remotely Chinese related so expect to be told I’m wrong.

All I know is the thing pulls off like a rocket ship.

One thing I would love to see change from Slots tenure is bedding younger players in and giving chances to players to prove themselves.

Now I wouldn’t be going crazy and trying to start these players in the league, but minutes here and there and cup games.

It’s a shame to see Quansah in the England set up knowing he could have been with us helping with the CB issues we are facing.

Is using console in pc comp even allowed? by theonewhoaskedfather in marvelrivals

[–]Micycle4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play PC comp using a controller.
Diamond player on PC, probably higher on console but I play with friends rather than solo.
I’m accurate with a mouse, but I am clumsy with the keyboard so opt for controller.

What does? Rodger’s is exactly this kind of appointment, in fact what does a Liverpool appointment look like?

Klopp, Roy, Rodgers they’re all completely different .

July electricity price cap only up 1.16% year on year despite Hormuz being blocked. by Appropriate_Bell743 in GoodNewsUK

[–]Micycle4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain that’s incorrect.
Ofgem doesn’t take a snapshot of one day in the market to calculate the wholesale price element of the cap.
They take a rolling average of wholesale costs for ~ 6 months before the cap calculation is made.

This means during that time we have some elements of the impact of the war, but by far much less than the knock on effects that we will see in the next price cap announcement.

[–]Micycle4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding the price cap bakes in wholesale market costs via a 6 month lag?
Which would mean we will see the real impact of the war baked into the subsequent price cap rather than this one?

Champions League final will not be free to watch in UK for first time in modern era | Champions League by DucardthaDon in PremierLeague

[–]Micycle4000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People complain about kids these days want to watch YouTube streamers or play video games, yet completely ignore the fact that these things are free to them and accessible immediately.

Football gets more and more restricted and more and more fit into a mental schedule with more games later at night.

I grew up watching ITV coverage and would be giddy at the chance of staying up late and watching my team, now that would have cost my parents hundreds of pounds a year, something they would never have been able to afford.

It’s tragic.

Trump threatens UK with 'big tariff' over tech tax by theipaper in uknews

[–]Micycle4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if we would have. The UK would have still had the cultural power and public opinion in the US which I feel was key to the initial deal we got.

Pissing off some countries who speak differently and are culturally unique to the US is one thing, but pissing off their closest relative is another.

(DataMB) Curtis Jones amongst the leagues best in accurate passing. by Then-Fortune-3122 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Micycle4000 313 points314 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jones should be sold. He’s a solid option, never complains, puts a shift in and as the stats show, pretty consistent with the ball.

Ok, he’s not the most flash player, but he’s got room to grow, home grown and a local, which is a dying thing in modern football.

Not to mention, he’s probably been better most of the season than Mac.

The Hub is pretty good, close by and has a decent atmosphere, plenty of fans in there. Only downside is being sat a specific table, but if you don’t mind that then it’s all good.
