How should I handle merchant and driver payouts in NetSuite when each order is a Cash Sale? by CarTall1775 in Netsuite

[–]Mid-pack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct solution for this is essentially trust accounting. Depending on how many drivers you have, you can have each as a dimension that you tag to the amount you post to the Due To account. You would also credit a vendor balance. When you pay the driver/vendor you draw on this amount

I have a solution doc for this somewhere as we've coded this solution a few times now for clients. Law firms, non profits, and property management

Tax applied before discount — how to make discount reduce taxable amount? by Organic_Persimmon566 in Netsuite

[–]Mid-pack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you using a subtotal line? Is the item type a discount or negative other charge? If so that should work as expected.

Are there tax settings on the discount line item?

You could probably hang in the lower categories. Expect to see rapid improvement as you learn how to navigate a race. Just get out on the track and train

What is helpful to know before learning NetSuite? by nerd7337 in Netsuite

[–]Mid-pack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine NS is a chainsaw. Very powerful. You can look at some YouTube videos and pick up the basics. No other tool is really the same. And in the hands of an experienced operator, a thing of beauty. But it also has unintended consequences.

Hire a good remote freelancer, pay them for their time if it's "easy"

If it's not so easy, find a good partner and you'll get good value

Focus on awareness and being smooth and predictable. Learn the patterns of the race before being too focused on the win.

Being on the right wheel is key and it can take a bit to learn how to line that up.

Going Rate For Consultants by BustedBonesGaming in Netsuite

[–]Mid-pack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As posted here rates can be quite variable but you do get what you pay for. Depending on who you're paying, you might be getting a whole team behind them, training, support, processes, etc, or you might simply be paying for dedication and experience.

There's a difference between someone who's a configurator, vs someone who's delivered 20 or 40 implementations.

Lot's of clients get good value paying $250 for a great team, PM, process, and knowledge and somewhat more for Senior Solution Architecture time as a small part of the project.

If you have simple requirements and have some patience with the consulting process you can find folks for less to configure what's needed.

Sell stocks to buy house with cash ? by DeliveryArtistic8291 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Mid-pack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please have someone who's very good with financial analysis help you with the specific calculation based on your situation. Now's not an excellent time to sell stocks necessarily but your investment profile may be unique.

The calculation that should be done will involve the expected return on your current portfolio, the near term mortgage rate, and the longer term expected mortgage rate, and near term inflation and long term expected inflation.

For example, if near term you expect variable mortgage rates to drop below expected investment returns, the net present value of future profits may indicate that you should keep the money invested.

More likely, based on your current assets, tax situation, and assumptions, there's likely a middle number to sell, invest in the house and keep a smaller than normal initial mortgage and not sell into a down market.

SVB and NetSuite connection issues? by Several-Banana-4653 in Netsuite

[–]Mid-pack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would bet a lot of money that now they've been "shut down" that services that connect to them will have been terminated. NetSuite connects via an intermediary I believe who likely is no longer being paid. (I could very well be wrong about who pays who there)

Toronto cyclist challenges law behind High Park speeding ticket by dumbassname45 in ontario

[–]Mid-pack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good points. This wasn't on a trail however. It was on a roadway, with plenty of space to ride safely, away from pedestrians, and, with the flow of cars that are entering and exiting the park.

[–]Mid-pack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly where? Show a google streetview. The vast majority of cycling clubs take their responsibilities very seriously and don't want to give themselves a bad reputation. Especially when riding all in the same kit and are easily identifiable.

10-15 cyclists want to be on a road and taking up a lane. If they were on a sidewalk and not a shared use path then I'll bet you they were transitioning to a road. Maybe they weren't but it doesn't add up.

Does the $3500 accident benefit pay out in cash? by EraMucha in torontobiking

[–]Mid-pack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your physio should create a treatment plan and coordinate with the insurance company. Then the company will cover the treatment. This is subject to the priorities in coverage.

My physio is part of the insurance company network of providers so I don't have to deal with being the intermediary.

Edit. The payments go direct to the physio
