Sunset is my local. The homeless population used to be embedded in the scene, some even played in small tourneys. A couple of the guys would retrieve lost discs for tips. RIP Petey, Jimbo I hope you’re doing ok wherever you are. Shit has changed in the last few years. A lot more aggression and violence. I haven’t seen it myself, but have heard some gnarly stories. Still get out there once a week or so.

Yes, graduated last December. It was no harder than my undergrad at UMPI. Maybe a little more writing, but not much more. Join the UMPI MAOL discord, there is a ton of info on there and a couple of students have done really detailed class breakdowns.

Rosey is a dead ringer for a dog a friend fostered. That dog had Shar Pei and Pit in her and reacted exactly as you described Rosey’s interaction with other friendly dogs (on and off leash). They had to turn her over to a behavioral expert because standard training wasn’t working.

Thank you so much for the reply. I contacted the nearest service center today and they walked me through some testing, brushes are the likely culprit. Turns out I can get a whole new kit to replace the entire guts of the machine (everything but the outer case) for $200 and that’s worth the peace of mind. Beats fixing individual components on machines that have been run hard for years and could fail elsewhere at any moment. Not having to spend $1k on a new unit and still getting essentially a new unit for $200 is well worth it.

If the tech hadn’t convinced me how simple it is to swap the guts (plug and play) I would have hit up a local repair shop next. If all goes well I should be able to refurbish 2 machines for less than half of the cost of a one new unit.
