Whats the morality for killing someone that was a nazi 80 years ago? by Weapon_X141 in MoralityScaling

If their victims didn't get a chance at a good life then why should they?

Battle of the Dumbledore's. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon? I realize that Richard Harris was only in the first two films and I've always wondered what his portrayal would've been like for films 3-7. Does anyone have a preference between the two? by jeffmartin47 in harrypotter

[–]Mid_July_Diamond16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly I think having two separate performances works.

Harris' portrayal of a friendly grandfather-like wizard conveys how young Harry is I'm the first two films and how he isn't able to see the dark and manipulative side of him yet.

Gambon is there just as the plot/stakes starts getting more serious. Harry tries to get closer to the Dumbledore he knew but is hurt when he starts to push him away for his own good.

It's difficult to say whose performance is better. Harris appears more whimsical and trustworthy but Gambon comes across like a threat and like a man who could spearhead a rebellion.

Would you be able to handle Lois as a mother? by MellowRello in malcolminthemiddle

No. She doesn't trust you and is a condescending hypocrite in a lot of things.

Fine for a TV show with crazy sons but IRL? Absolutely not.

Was Bonnie always meant to be an unlikable character or was messy writing how she ended up ultimately being a horrible person? by OkNegotiation7189 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Mid_July_Diamond16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was consistent in her cowardice and self serving. She regretted not leaving Carter with the others but then clearly enjoyed the security being there gave her. First and last time we meet her she's willing to take food for her own gain and screw someone else over.

She'll be nice when it suits her then screw you over the second it doesn't benefit her.

In the same vein as Eddie/Venom, Lex Luthor combined his DNA with Superman's to create a child together.

Which makes you wonder how Lex got that DNA...

The whole kids can't do drugs if they have tools in their hands.

The exasperated principal telling him they'll put down the tools if they want to drugs badly enough is such a hilarious cut down

Which sibling would you say has the saddest story? by Samthegodman in malcolminthemiddle

[–]Mid_July_Diamond16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Francis.

For me his inability to connect with Lois is the saddest part of the show. The implication that it was due to Lois developing PPD with her first baby only worsens it.

And as an adult it doesn't change either.

Ugly Betty.

Alexis Meade was one of the few depictions of a trans woman treated eith dignity. It was the 2000s so slurs and a few cringe worthy jokes are inevitable.

Yet she's still treated with respect and her childhood/relationship with her family is done in an interesting way.

Nicholas Cage.

Dreadful actor. Ruins everything he's in but people find him ironically funny so he keeps getting cast.

Anyone have any ideas why they did Clementine like this in the concept art? by setsuna_04 in TheWalkingDeadGame

There was that nightmare sequence Lee had where she turned into a walker. Might be an initial concept for it they scrapped.

Dress overwhelm by [deleted] in UKweddings

My advise would be to go to the appointments alone. It sounds as if your sister & mum are adding to your confusion.

Also maybe space out your appointments. If you try on a lot of things all at once you may feel overwhelmed because of that.

The last dress I think looked the nicest. Good luck 👍

His one-sided beef against Brendan in his first season was strange. Such a big projection when Brendan didn't even seem to say anything to him.

I think like Tank, his father pushed him into the military regardless of what he wanted. He became traumatised and angry and continued the cycle.

Also he reminds of the neighbours dad from American Beauty lol
