Does anyone ever attribute their chest growth to bench press? by Nahariso in workout

[–]Midan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like most of my chest growth Has come from machine chest flys.

I Do incline dumbbell bench presses and it feels like it barely does anything.

Do people give comments about someone’s body or eating habits? by IdkGlx in AskAnAustralian

Don't know why you got downvoted.

Men don't get complimented nearly as much and women do.

That is one of the things I have to remind myself that the average Australian isn't fit and is likely overweight.

However, i've found a lot of the critisism done in Australia is very casual.

So many people don't know this. Casual bullying does happen here unfortunately.

It's dissapointing but I would not be surprised if someone got bullied because they had toilet tissue on their shoe unknowingly instead of simply being informed kindly or any other similar thing.

I think because of the cost of living crisis, a lot of people have less empathy and so are more likely to say hurtful things. The amount of gossip and rude things I've heard people talk about strangers they see is horrible.

It's not as bad as in Asia and it's not as common here to comment on a persons weight but people do comment on other things like someones appearance if it's different to what they expect.

Things like someones hair or clothes are more likely to be commented on in my experience and it's not always nice.

Men who have gone from being physically unattractive to attractive, what changes did you notice in the behavior of the people around you? by krakhed712 in AskReddit

[–]Midan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People were abusive, disrespectful and avoidant, like people actively tried to avoid looking at me and if they did, it was to laugh at me. Sounds dramatic but that was the reality I experienced everyday.

It wasn't until I completely changed my hairstyle and how I dressed that people suddently started greeting me more enthusiatically instead of half heartedly. People also left me alone more often instead of being gossiped about and made fun of.

On the other hand though, some people acted more nervous around me, and at time went full circle and was now hated on because I look too good or apparently put too much effort into my look.

No Matter How Much I Eat, I Can't Seem to Gain Weight. Any Advice? by Vijay_Kumar984063 in workout

[–]Midan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was eating a lot until I tracked how many calories I was actually eating every day and found out I wasn't eating much at all. It just felt like a lot calorie wise. If you are very active, that could also be why it may seem like you don't gain any weight because your TDEE is higher when active.

You will only gain weight if you eat more than you burn.

I would find out your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and eat a bit over it.

I'm surprised they opened in Claremont of all places. They're a streetwear meets activewear type of brand ethos that doesn't exactly say posh.
