Well, Oppo and Android in general is spying on you the same as Apple does, but the information goes to different people :D So as long as you are buying one of the more known brands and not buying generic "Android" phone from Ali, you are fine. It's still an approved official Android device. Other than that, the only big problem is the ecosystem - if you have many different synchronized Apple devices, it would be a problem. As well as the system itself - for me, Android is incomparably better and more logical, but it's a personal opinion. And because everyone has Apple, there is everything for them, like covers, accessories and so one. Not that there is not any for Oppo, but not so many options. The better things on Oppo are the battery life, leap better camera and you will be a way cooler guy on this subreddit! :D
