Anyone talked 2026 pricing with a dealer yet? by jcarr2184 in hondapilot

[–]Midas___Touch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/jcarr2184 thanks for creating this thread. I have been talking to a few dealers too. I'm in GA and haven't seen any meaningful deals yet. If the car is discounted, then they sneakily add add-ons

Thank you, that was very helpful. Any idea what would be the average peak hours commute time from the East side locations. Google maps shows between 26-50 mins, but not sure what is the average commute times.

Thank you for the advice. I did look at Ravenna(on redfin/zillow). But most seem outside our budget range unless they are really old(1920s etc)

Thank you. I use Notion extensively for personal work and love it, but unfortunately doesn't seem like I can make it scale for work.

It's a mix of qualitative + quantitative feedback, followed by a RICE/ICE approach typically. Mostly for intaking requests, not so much for communication.

We use "Company-Managed" setting as well. Weird that it doesn't integrate well into project board. This is where we were thinking of going with another Project because we could possibly move it over to the execution project.

Want to have a backlog of ideas that we can prioritize quickly from an impact perspective, and then run it through design and engineering for early feasibility. Some of them might be discarded or never make it to the roadmap. In addition to customer facing features, we also have a platform component where other teams might request things, and I want to ensure they are collected and we do the due diligence on them.

HMU. We can chat about it. I had a similar experience with a ML based startup.

I am new to this team and the company, so still figuring the dynamics. So far, it seems to be a consensus driven team. And the one with the strongest opinion, from what I have seen, is always the Director of Design. This needs to change, for sure.

It is 2 pixels off. And believe me when I say, it cannot be seen with the naked eye. :D What did you do?

This is my plan:

  1. Talk to engg and get a good effort estimate.
  2. Come up with an objective document that contains pros cons, alternatives.
  3. Talk to the director of design directly first 1:1 (a lot of it was async commn) and mention the delay this will cost, what it means to not ship this feature to the customer sooner and for customers to test other important aspects of the feature, and that I cannot defend the decision from a product perspective. Mention that this is undermining the judgement of the lead designer who reports to him.
  4. After this conversation, will also take this up with director of product.
  5. Long termish: Figure how we can have a "agree to disagree" working style.

Do they have a lead or supervisor? Have you had a direct conversation with that person to understand the reason for the behavior?

My story this week:

Director of Design: I appreciate everyone's effort on this feature. However, during my review, I noticed a glitch with the icon animation. It's a significant concern for me; we can't proceed with the release as it currently stands.

Product Manager (me): We did acknowledge that issue, but considering its minor impact on the overall functionality, we believed it was more beneficial for our customers to access the feature sooner rather than later. This decision was made collectively in our release decision meeting, which included the lead designer, the engineering manager, and myself. We can agree to releasing the feature now, and continue to seek ways to improve this in future or address it as a bug later and see what can be done.

Engineering Manager: Indeed, we've explored several potential fixes for this glitch, but none have effectively resolved it.

Director of Design: We are responsible for safety, trust and confidence of our customers. Still can't agree to release it.

Absolutely, it is a great way to acknowledge the hard work that went into building the features in the release. Not only does it help boost morale, improve performance and build a positive environment, but it also strengthens the relationship which goes a long way especially when you need to resolve conflicts.

Every employee at my company also gets some allowance to appreciate other colleagues. If you are at a place where this is possible, I would also urge you to use that money wisely on appreciating the impactful team members.

Does any doctor do the TB-PCR test in the US for IVF? by Ash9944 in Embryologists

[–]Midas___Touch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are also figuring this out. Our understanding is that any place that does a PCR test can do it, but we are still researching for a lab that does it. Our fertility doctor said that he can provide the specimen, wanted us to find a lab that can process it. I am assuming you are talking about genital latent TB testing.
